AGAIN, people don't close their lid when their agents (or any long process) are running cuz it kills your machine's cooling capacity and destroys it in the long term try closing your mac for 10 mins with tmux and see how hot it runs.

@did0f i think the right answer is ignore it until next prompt? this is consistent with other behavior across the app like if you change the command permissions (e.g. auto-review -> full perms) it only takes effect from the next prompt.

In Codex, if I change the thinking mode mid-execution, will it: > ignore it until my next prompt? > complete the current internal thinking step and switch to new intelligence level on next one? > immediately switch it mid-thinking (would that even be possible?!)

what's the point of having a model called "flash" if you go ahead and have another model called "flash-lite"? google has the most confusing ai branding out of the big labs

The tension with training models over m at generations is it becomes impossible to keep the same characteristics in the way you mention. Flash used to mean just fast and cheap, now it means intelligent, fast, and super strong value. The nuance of this is difficult, but we are going to continue pushing the frontier of intelligence while trying to pack as much value into a model as possible. It’s also worth noting that 3.1 flash-lite is super strong!

why does the google ai plan include youtube premium? If @antigravity was to get better and people actually wanted to pay for it, why would they have to pay extra for things bundled in their plan that they will never use?

Cloudflare's new website would make you think it is a new AI inference cloud like Fireworks or Baseten or Nebius or something and not the world's most popular CDN for 20 years. They literally have erased any mention of CDN, their main product from their whole website. Crazy
