@OctopusEnergy Hey guys. Seems the Octopus API is missing my GAS meter reads for all of 15th April and a few hours of the 16th. Can you request a re pull of the reads to see if they come through please? Gas meter not electric.

@sarah_go_green Make sure the inverter is a Gen 2 not a Gen 1 if your having batteries. You want the 3.6kW discharge from batteries. With storage, buy as much as you can afford. I just added another 8.2kW battery. I hate using peak time electricity, when I can get it cheap on IO.

So this is my house. What would you do in terms of battery and solar? It's a weird shape with 3 roof areas. The long space at the top is south facing. The issue with the second array is access. You can only access it with scaffolding to the front or rear. The east-facing roof is smaller but very easy to access. The battery would go below in the garage which is in the longest section of the house. My plan would be so the @givenchy 13 kWh battery and solar probably 6 kW. Any suggestions etc would be great.

@sarah_go_green I had 8x410W Longi panels installed with a GivEnergy 5kw Gen 2 + 2 x 8.2kW batteries. Best thing I’ve ever done. I wanted both batteries so it will completely fill the wife’s PHEV in winter whilst having enough left for the house. Savings are immediate. Charge on Octo Intell.

If you were having a completely new system installed and wanted to cover both solar ☀️and battery 🔋options for your home what would you do different or what would be your first choice, if you haven't done it yet? I just had a solar install call me. I've been on various lists for months. I think waiting times are coming down. I'm still researching ;-)
