Within the scope of its 78th session, the UNGA has once again adopted the resolution on "Status of IDPs & Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia & Tskhinvali region/South Ossetia, Georgia" with the highest ever 103 votes in favor. The resolution is of tremendous importance in the case of the humanitarian dimension. Many thanks to the international community for their unwavering support for 🇬🇪's sovereignty and territorial integrity!

For its centuries-old history, Georgia has always been paying an immense price for gaining freedom. Today, we pay tribute to those of our outstanding compatriots who fought against the Soviet army on 9 April 1989 and brought well-deserved independence to our wonderful country. Delighted to extend a warm welcome to our distinguished guest - NATO SG @jensstoltenberg. His visit marks a significant step in fostering Georgia-NATO cooperation and represents yet another vivid demonstration of strong support for Georgia.

At the meeting with the UN High Commissioner @FilippoGrandi, I had an opportunity to once again bring to attention the grave humanitarian situation in Georgia's occupied regions of #Abkhazia and #Tskhinvali. I also briefed him about the policies of the Georgian government in regard to IDPs and refugees.

At the meeting with @volker_turk, UN High Commisioner for Human Rights, we highlighted the role of his office in ensuring protection of human rights across the 🌎. I focused on extremely difficult situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as on the importance of keeping this issue high on the UN agenda.
