@alexpg01_eth All it takes for the normies is 1 or 2 bad experiences and they never touch it again.
They are not as persistent with this tech and X is mainly a bubble of fixated nerds, me included.
But boy do the LLM providers sell hype…

Sunday. I did a brain reset, 7 hours of silence.
What it did to my brain:
No phone. No music. No books. No screens. Just water and silence. This was week 8 of my 53 Skills project.
The first few hours were easy. Then around hour 3, my brain switched from boredom to processing mode.
Old emotions, unresolved thoughts, things I’d been outrunning for years. All surfacing on their own.
By the end, my mind felt completely clear. Not tired. Not numb. Actually calm. It lasted for hours after.
Why this matters: I think we never give our brains offline time anymore.
Every quiet moment gets filled with a podcast, a scroll, a notification. Your brain is running on 100% input and 0% processing all day.
Neuroscience backs this up. Unstructured mental downtime improves memory consolidation, creative problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
It’s the same mechanism as sleep, except we can access it while awake. We just choose not to.
You don’t need 7 hours.
One hour of zero input per week would put you ahead of most people in terms of mental clarity.
Try it: one hour, no phone in the room, no background noise.
First 20 minutes will be uncomfortable. Last 10 will surprise you.

@DanRyanNeff It’s a big W and I’ll be coaching my coworkers on this tech

@alexpg01_eth You are a step ahead of me on this, PACH. And in a very relaxing environment. Nice.

I see the future in my feed
OpenClaw offers something that wouldn’t have been imaginable a few months ago ago
I’m hosting it on a VPS but it was the only way to get my feet wet while I was on the beach
I get it now
You get to build your own model
All while you kick back and move away from the desk

@MicahBerkley I’ll ask Codex to add a script to cage the prefix and reduce the stuff that got into the prompt. Thank Micah for the insight

@mattshumer_ Amazing read man
I’m seing the same with many of the people who are just using free versions of models for simple questions.
I spike up the cocktail conversation a bit to get people more excited about AI because being left being is such a societal issue.

I do GIS (geographic information systems) for spatial data analysis
I’ve downloaded QGIS (open source) into my machine to automate workflows that are python scripts created by AI.
I also use Brave API for web search and Gemini API for YouTube video summary
I get it to find data to process online and make maps with them.

Im placing my bets
Im placing my bets Clawdbot will be the biggest technology of the next decade
Im placing my bets local AI models will become more popular than cloud models
Im placing my bets Apple will win the AI race by building the best hardware for it
Im placing my bets autonomous 24/7 ai agents running locally on home devices using private data is the end game for AI
Im putting my entire financial future on it. Ive never been so sure about anything in my life
Right now it's just me and a few people that see this inevitable future. I look forward to you joining us.

I'm sick and tired of the people who don't understand why I spent $20,000 on this set up, and plan on spending another $100,000 by the end of the year
IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT LOCAL MODELS AREN'T AS GOOD AS OPUS 4.6
That is not the point. The point is me being able to run a swarm of local AI agents powered by local AI models unlocks a world you can't imagine
A world never discovered by humanity before
Right now, as you read this post, I have multiple local AI models reading thousands of posts on X and Reddit
Hunting for challenges to solve
Those local AI models are feeding hundreds of challenges a day to a manager model
The manager model (Henry) decides what the company (Alex Finn Global Enterprises) will build.
The company is constantly working. Constantly researching. Constantly building. Constantly shipping
If I did this with local models I'd be spending $20,000 a month on API calls.
With my set up, it's free. I have an army on my desk. Never resting. Never eating. Never complaining. Always conquering.
Here is your problem: it's not that you don't understand this. You don't want to understand this. You don't want to think this is possible. Your brain doesn't want to believe this is the world we now live in.
It is. And the faster you can accept this and get on board, the faster you can enter the new society.
Otherwise, you will forever be doomed to the permanent underclass.
Make your choice.
