Sat on a train to london thinking about people who pay for their energy on a prepayment meter and can’t afford to keep it topped up in this cold snap. If they can’t put money on it they sit in the cold and the dark. Simple as that. Are we really ok with this? (1/2)

Good for you @McnabGareth @CAPuk. @PayPlan are going through IVA and DMP cases to identify potential switchers to DROs under the new rules too. We are not waiting for the annual review but getting on with it now, and we have DRO experts doing it.

@DebtCamel @insolvencygovuk No similar guidance yet provided to debt management orgs that I've found. Wonder if FCA will read across from this? CAP have reviewed all our DMPs and readvised where necessary. Worthwhile activity - costly, but client benefit was key. More people debt free more quickly!

Great news- @joycemccarty just proposed that @NewcastleCC's debt collection strategy adopt the Standard Financial Statement & a single view of debts accross the board, & they adopt @TheFCA definition of vulnerability. This passed - brilliant. All councils need to do this.
