👉🏼 Our study at @JCGjournal demonstrates higher effectiveness of upadacitinib compared with ustekinumab in UC patients with prior anti-TNF exposure 📊, with lower 1-year corticosteroid use observed in the upadacitinib group (40.1% vs 48.5%) 💊 📚 journals.lww.com/jcge/abstract/… @TandonKp @ElfertKhaled @MouhandMD @alkasabrah

‼️ New Publication ‼️ Excited to share our latest systematic review in @FrontImmunol exploring how mechanical forces shape macrophage behavior across the GI tract, liver, and other organs. We highlight how tissue stiffness and mechanosensing pathways drive inflammation, fibrosis, and progression of chronic liver disease. 📖 Read the full article: frontiersin.org/journals/immun… Grateful for the mentorship and support from @BeyderLab and #Gianluca_Cipriani 🙏

Honored to contribute to this interesting study. Active IBD = higher influenza risk and worse outcomes. Important data for our patients.
Mohamed Eldesouki, MD@Eldesouki_mo

🔔 New paper alert 🔔 Our study in @DDS_Journal demonstrates that patients with active #IBD have higher risk of influenza and worse outcomes compared to those in remission. Highest risk observed with steroids, JAK inhibitors, & anti-IL-23 therapies. Grateful for the mentorship of @JHashashMD and @FarrayeIBD, and to my coauthors @alkasabrah @AlsakarnehSaqr & @Youssefmd96 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41790400/

MRSA skin abscesses TMP/SMZ is better because it is a TWICE a day drug and clindamycin is a THREE time a day drug. Better than doxycycline too, because TMP/SMZ is more "Bactericidal" not "Static" Linezolid is great, but causes: *Lactic acidosis *Thrombocytopenia *Interacts with MAO inhibitors
