No - it was denied based on their performance. Their race and gender was not the reason. We all already know why they were taken off... do you realt think we're that stupid? There were race and gender quotas put in place for officers at every step of the way - so, even if (for example) 2% of officers where black - they would have 10% of promotions allocated for black. Do this for every rank and by the time the force gets to General - what percentage of every other race was not promoted? Lets break it down (this is not accounting for many factors, but highlights whats going on): With an example quota of 10%, 40% of the non-Black officers who would have made it all the way to General under proportional promotions were effectively not promoted because of the repeated quota allocations across the 6 steps. Exact step-by-step breakdown (for transparency): • Step 1 relative rate: 0.9184 • Step 2: 0.9184 × 0.9184 ≈ 0.8435 • Step 3: 0.8435 × 0.9184 ≈ 0.7750 • Step 4: 0.7750 × 0.9184 ≈ 0.7120 • Step 5: 0.7120 × 0.9184 ≈ 0.6542 • Step 6: 0.6542 × 0.9184 ≈ 0.5999 (60%) This compounding shows how even a modest per-step displacement (≈8.16% disadvantage) grows significantly over multiple ranks when applied repeatedly, as described. (Note: A fully realistic simulation with changing pool composition would show the biggest displacement only in the first promotion — after that the promoted ranks stabilize near 10% Black and the quota matches the new pool, eliminating further bias. But if we begin to add officers leaving military service, or dying during service, into the equation, the perceived stabilization rapidly diminishes.) @DOWResponse @PeteHegseth Good move!!!

Denying promotions of individual officers based on their race or gender would betray every principle of merit-based service that military officers uphold. It would also violate federal law. I am demanding answers from SecDef Hegseth & the Pentagon. nytimes.com/2026/03/27/us/…

The number of U.S. student visas issued in India the busiest summer months fell more than 60 percent ahead of the current academic year. Colleges hoped some of the backlog could be handled in September. It didn't happen: State Dept data show just 706 student visas were processed.

kendrick felt drake was being fake by wanting to work without addressing past isues, and definitely didn't like cole being added as a replacement, then talking about "Not the three, not the two, I'm the U-N-O.... Who the GOAT?" i can understand why he dissed them on Like That... but damn i wish they just collaborated 😭
SOUND | Victor Baez@itsavibe

the First Person Shooter collaboration mystery finally explained "surprised you wanted that feature request, you know that we got some shit to address..." euphoria makes so much more sense now

@henrywinter Rashford was a casualty of Amorim's small mindedness and Utd fans lust for attacking their longest serving players. Journos should ask why Malacia never plays. He's been fit for a year but he too was dropped by Amorim for being friends with Rashford.

When Marcus Rashford plays like that, unleashing his pace on opponents, racing past three Uruguayans, going on the outside, leaving Varela tackling thin air, and getting in a cross….it’s not simply a question of whether he will be in the 26 for the World Cup but in the starting XI ahead of Anthony Gordon. Needs to do it more often, of course. But the talent and pace are there. Good awareness: dropped in briefly at left-back when Spence pushed up. #ENG #ENGURU

@UtdDefence De Zerbi isnt a coward. A good manager has to be able to pick a job that will help him. He has all to lose and nothing to gain if he goes with Tottenham now. Better to come in from the Summer.

De Zerbi is a coward. Keep him far away from my club. A Manager that can’t show courage to take over the pressure of a club fighting relegation will not be able to handle the daily pressures at Manchester United.

Sean Dyche a potential candidate to take over at #THFC for last seven games. First-choice Roberto De Zerbi continues to hold out on starting the job now (he favours summer). Story with @Matt_Law_DT telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@_Twinndiesel @Themusicbuff_ Whatever issues Kendrick had with Drake were all in his head. Because why would Drake reach out to him to be on a song if he felt Kendrick had issues with him. Kendrick was just looking for an opportunity to diss Drake. Cole was a pawn in this thing unfortunately.

@Themusicbuff_ @allcapszoom Yall are goin about this like First Person Shooter is the sole reason for the diss and not more of a final straw for Kendrick. Its obvious he had issue with Drake before and Cole legit deserved a shot for saying he felt like Ali. That makes sense to me

Kurrco@Kurrco

J. Cole says “First Person Shooter” was originally meant to be a Drake and Kendrick Lamar track 👀 "My interpretation is like, maybe when it wasn't moving fast enough, [Drake] was like, let me hit Cole." "I never looked at that song like it was gonna be all of us." (via 7PM in Brooklyn)

@Mike87_United If Utd trusted Amorim after finishing 15th and losing a Europa League final to Spurs (after losing 3 times to Spurs in the league) to bin 4 wingers in one window, then Utd can trust Carrick to make changes to the squad.

The thought of Michael Carrick being tasked with the job of selling Manchester Utd football club to some of the biggest talents and names in world football in a transfer window is truly terrifying and comedic at the same time.

@mercymeinfinity @_Twinndiesel Yup, it makes zero sense. It has to be something directed by higher ups. Dot was even praised on the record, so why diss Drake and not Cole who called out his name.

@_Twinndiesel @allcapszoom He asked him to be on the song though. How can you get mad after you denied the request? This is like a nigga inviting another nigga hes had beef with out to an event to peace up. He says no, then gets mad when he invites his mans and his mans shouts you out lmao why are you mad?

@Mike87_United This is where you go wrong. It's not about 'better'. It's more than tactics. It's about man management and who can handle the pressure of a big club. Out of the list only Xavi ticks most of the boxes. De Zerbi is my preferred manager but he struggled a bit with pressure at OM.

If you don’t think Xavi, Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva, Andoni Iraola, Oliver Glasner etc are better managers than Michael Carrick that’s fine, do you. But I’m telling you now none of them would even consider taking the Middlesbrough job, let alone get themselves sacked from it.

@Mike87_United Also, it's absolutely noted that you were very vocal about this team being poor and not being good enough to compete for top 4 at the time of Amorim's sacking. And yet, you've seen United overtake Chelsea and Liverpool in 1-2 months. Very clear toxic agenda from you.

This whole managerial situation is why I said 3 months ago this club cannot be trusted with “interims”. This is exactly what happened with Ole and we ended up being lumbered with him for over 3 years. To make the same mistake twice would be utterly scandalous.
