The last few weeks have been tough. We lost our son, Elijah James Gargiulo, and we are grieving that we won’t get to meet him this side of heaven. We find comfort knowing he only knew love in his short life. We mourn all the memories we won’t get to have with him like teaching him how to tie his shoes, how to swim, how to drive a car, how to bake cookies, how to shave or tie a tie, his first day of school or singing ABCs, opening presents at Christmas, or even sending him off to college one day. Losing a baby is hard. There’s no nice or neat way to go through it. In this season, I’ve had to learn that there are so many more moms and dads (bc you still are a mom or dad to a baby you’ve lost) out there who have had this heart wrenching experience of loss and miscarriage. You’re not alone if this is you. 💔 I debated whether or not to share this, but this is real life. This is the raw reality we deal with as humans. We are taking one day at a time. Picking up the shattered pieces of our hope and giving them to God to hold. Elijah will forever be an important part of our lives and a tremendous blessing God gave us. Hug your loved ones tight. 🤍
