@connorshepherd @catboosted the skio team threatened to quit if he didn’t leave skio…he was paying himself a ridiculous amount in cash and benefits - and then the company took off without him. He now has to force the sale because similar conflict is brewing at icon. Dude is just toxic.

It unfortunately seems that 37signals spent the last two and a half years on a Manhattan project to reduce COGS at the expense of thus far completely missing AI (at least I can’t find any mention of features on their websites). The opportunity cost was always huge.

No idea about the product or team. But I bet a lot that this site converts super well. No shade to brett (he seems cool)…but in general I think if a landing page has 1) lots of copy 2) a designer calls it ugly…it will convert well. I think I could use just a google doc and copy that converts better than most all flashy websites.
