Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh admitted that the government could not deploy medical specialists at CHC Lehragaga, as most prefer to work in cities like Patiala or Mohali for a better quality of life.  Therefore, the government had to rope in a private trust to run the health facility in order to provide improved services to local residents therein Lehragaga. This is the first time that any government health facility in Punjab is being operated under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
