Statement of the Liberal Party 11 July 2024 The Liberal Party of the Philippines vehemently demands the immediate and total ban of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in our country. The continued existence and operations of POGOs have become untenable and unacceptable, posing severe threats to our national security and societal well-being. Lumilitaw sa isinasagawang Senate investigation na malawak at malalim ang impluwensiya ng mga entidad na ito sa ating pamahalaan. Pinahihina nito ang kakayahan nating pangalagaan ang ating mga komunidad at pamilya, pati na rin ang pagtugon natin sa mga krimen at katiwaliang kaugnay ng mga operasyong ito. Malinaw ang dapat gawin: Patalsikin na dapat sa ating teritoryo ang mga POGO. We call upon the President to address this urgent matter decisively. The time for ambiguity has passed; it is imperative to take a clear and firm stand against POGOs to safeguard the integrity of our nation and the future of our citizens.
