Long form and insightful content on tiktok is severely underrated. The entire platform is written off due to the rot (which there is a lot of). We should have tiktok clubs like we have book clubs to discuss and deep dive into content.

slop is essentially empty calories. fast food proved to be a big business, but its ubiquity didn’t marginalize the value or shrink demand for fine cuisine. actually, demand for craft-infused quality often goes up when something is commoditized.

@MannyBernabe @HayaOdeh The new canvas feature is a game-changer for me. It allows me to switch between product-building, design, and creating marketing assets seamlessly.

Replit co-founder @HayaOdeh on why the design-to-code flow has always been broken: "You go to design tools, create your designs, and then what happens? You switch to your programming environment and it's never accurate one-to-one. There's always something missing." "Always arguing who has the source of truth. The designer wanted it one way, the engineer wanted it another." "What I love about prototyping in Replit, it's not predeterministic. It's not clicking through screenshots. It feels like you're an actual product."

@TheMattBeebe @MannyBernabe @HayaOdeh if you press try “build” button the agent can make it a real app! you can always remix your entire project too if you want another independent version

@MannyBernabe @HayaOdeh Random question: if I have an artifact on the canvas that I’ve built/iterated on, can I spin it out intact as a resource for use in a new l/different project? Every approach I’ve come up with seems hackish at the moment.

@andrewchen …or an even better option, which we pioneered with Replit Agent 4. Models review code and generate regression tests dynamically, while we let the user decide if they want to test the app before merging the code. Best of both worlds, especially for non-technical users!

One question I've been asking founders is: do you try to review all the code that the LLMs write or do you just accept it? I think it's about 50-50 right now but the momentum is towards just accepting the AI-generated code and I think that number will eventually go to 100% This is one of the most telling indications of how AI-native a team is. It's hard to get super high throughput if you are reviewing every line Poll: what do you do?

Every version of @Replit Agent has a Pokémon codename. Agent 1: Porygon Agent 2: Mewtwo Agent 4 is Pikachu ⚡ The special one with all the primitives. Build anything. Apps, slides, videos. In parallel. With great design. On canvas.

Today is an exciting day, but I'm more excited for a few weeks from now when we can see all of the insane things people have built. The team put a lot of love into this one, and it was amazing see the pieces come together over the past few weeks. Try it out and let me know what you think :)

When I was at replit the long term goal we always talked about was turning it from an “IDE” into the world’s most powerful, general purpose creative tool. After hundreds of prototypes over the years, it’s clear the replit tech tree continues to pay increasing dividends. The infinite computing canvas is finally available to millions of people :-) congrats to the team!

literally every part of my job is getting automated by ai -writing code -designing -linear -summaries from slack & meetings -marketing research & ideation The only thing I'm left doing is deciding what's important to the business, and dealing with people

Replit CEO Amjad Masad: Being 'terminally online' may be an advantage. "If you want to work on a skill, it's going to be about idea generation." "Because the cost of implementation of those ideas is going down rapidly. It's gonna go to zero at some point." "So the bottleneck becomes, 'how fast can you generate ideas?'" "Just looking around you in the world and seeing what's happening. What are the trends? Are you plugged in on social media?" "A lot of the vices that older generations think are vices, might actually become advantages. So if you're a brainrotted, terminally online person, that might be an advantage because you know what's happening in the world." "If you're someone who's ADHD, really interested in novelty... that's actually an advantage because AI really benefits people who can try a lot of things really quickly." @amasad with @jackhneel

At @Replit HQ there’s a mysterious fairy that drops off exotic nicotine pouches on your desk. They appear to have some indecipherable runes written on the sides. Possibly from middle earth. Definitely not from California.
