As a kid, I have walked through these Garib nagar slums in Bandra East & watched how they turned into towering skyscrapers of tin as they touched railway bridges & gulped more & more railway land, posing as a major security threat NEVER thought that we would see this visual 👇👇 But when BulldozerDeva decides to do something, he achieves it ✊✊ ✅Clearing forts of Maharaj from illegal encroachments ✅Removing illegal glorification of Afzal Khan tomb at Pratapgarh ✅Pimpri Chinchwad demolitions ✅Demolition of properties of Naya Nagar stone pelters on Ram Navami procession ✅Clearing MalvaniPattern in Malad & now, clearing land G!HAD near Bandra Terminus - a critical cog of Western Railway operations Already, > 85% slums ( 400 illegal structures) cleared near Garib Nagar and the Bandra Terminus. > 1000 personnel involved Mumbai police, RPF, GRP, engineering & demolition staff The operation was backed by the Bombay High Court and aims to reclaim ~ 5,200 sq m of prime railway land of > 600 crores The expansion will pave the way for 50 new originating train services and expansion of the Bandra Terminus 16 arrested for stone pelting on police & personnel clearing the illegal slums under stringent sections like attempt to murder
