Will Foreign Minister Penny Wong summon the Spanish Ambassador over this brutal treatment, which far exceeds anything the activists experienced in Israel? If not, the double standard is clear. When the Jewish state is treated differently, there is a reason for it.

Violent bullying against flotilla anarchists at the airport in Spain cannot go unanswered. The Spanish Ambassador must be summoned to explain these hostile actions. We need accountability now.

Below are countries who condemned Israel over Minister Ben-Gvir's treatment of Gaza flotilla activists. Will they now also speak out to condenn Spain, after Spanish police so viciously beat up the activists on their return home? 🇪🇸 SPAIN Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said the images were unacceptable and said Spain "will not tolerate anyone mistreating our citizens." Sanchez added that his government would push for Spain's ban on Ben-Gvir entering the country to be urgently extended across the European Union. 🇫🇷 FRANCE French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said he had summoned the Israeli ambassador after the video emerged, calling Ben-Gvir's actions "unacceptable." Barrot said French citizens must be treated with respect and freed as soon as possible, while adding that he opposed the flotilla's approach. 🇬🇧 UNITED KINGDOM Britain summoned Israel's chargé d'affaires over the video, with its foreign ministry saying the content "violates the most basic standards of respect and dignity for people." Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said she was "truly appalled" by the video. 🇮🇹 ITALY Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said EU foreign ministers should discuss imposing sanctions on Ben-Gvir at their next meeting for "unacceptable acts" including harassing and humiliating the activists. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Tajani demanded an apology for the activists' treatment and what they called Israel's "total disrespect" for Italy's requests. 🇵🇱 POLAND Poland's foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski said he had summoned the Israeli chargé d’affaires over the detention of the activists, demanding their immediate release and an apology. He also requested that the interior ministry ban Ben-Gvir from entering Poland, a spokesperson said. 🇮🇪 IRELAND Irish Foreign Minister Helen McEntee said 14 Irish citizens who joined the flotilla are in buses on their way to Istanbul from where they will be deported. "We have raised in no uncertain terms the horror and dissatisfaction at the way in which our citizens have been treated," McEntee told parliament. 🇬🇷 GREECE Greece urged Israel to release its detained nationals. Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said: "We call on the Israeli authorities to proceed with the rapid completion of all procedures and the immediate release of the Greek citizens." 🇨🇦 CANADA Canada said it would summon the Israeli ambassador in protest at the video, described by Foreign Minister Anita Anand as "deeply troubling and absolutely unacceptable." Prime Minister Mark Carney later described Israel's treatment of the detained activists as "abominable" and "unacceptable." 🇳🇱 NETHERLANDS The Netherlands will summon Israel's ambassador over what it called the "unacceptable" treatment of the activists. Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said the images were "shocking", adding he had raised the matter with Israel's foreign minister. 🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA Foreign Minister Penny Wong: The images we have seen posted by Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir - who Australia has sanctioned - are shocking and unacceptable. We condemn his actions and the degrading actions of Israeli authorities towards those detained. 🇺🇳 UNITED NATIONS A spokesperson for the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, called for accountability. "There must be investigations in all cases of torture and other forms of ill treatment against Palestinians and foreigners, and those responsible must be held to account," said Thameen Al-Kheetan. 🇪🇺 EUROPEAN UNION European Council President Antonio Costa said he was "appalled" by Ben-Gvir's treatment of aid flotilla members attempting to enter ‌Gaza. "This behaviour is completely unacceptable. We call for their immediate release," Costa said.

So, Spanish police filmed violently beating Gaza flotilla activists on heir return. Did I miss the world outrage, the news headlines and the Spanish ambassadors being hauled in for questioning? Guess not. How does one say 'hypocrisy' in Spanish?

The world is about to get a master class in antisemitism. Israel's minister Ben Gvir's behavior towards the flotilla activists was unacceptable. I said so myself. World leaders all posted angry denunciations of the Israeli government and summoned Israeli ambassadors for a dressing down. Here, the same activists are receiving much more brutal treatment at the hands of the Spanish government. What we won't see however is an international outcry against the Spanish government. This imbalance isn't due to the vagaries of international diplomacy. People hold the Jewish state to a higher standard than they do any other state, and fundamentally it's due of bigotry and hatred. @AnitaAnandMP

When activists tried a March to Gaza via Egypt they had the shit belted out of them by Arab cops. Not only was there no global outrage about this, the victims of actual beatings barely complained. Yet we have flotilla crybabies, without a single scratch on them claiming Israel hurt their wittle fee-fee.

No, I cannot believe I have to write this. “Second time.” You cannot be voluntarily kidnapped, and definitely not twice. And being sent away a few hours after doesn’t meet the definition either. Kfir Bibas was kidnapped. Hersh Goldberg-Polin was kidnapped. You bought a ticket. They did not get to come back alive and write an op-ed.

I truly love how the Mamdani Nakba video backfired and uncovered every lie possible. It accidentally highlighted everything “Palestinians” are trying to hide: - Stolen history - Jewish travel poster - Fake claim to the land - Bosnian origin - Voluntary move to a town nearby without persecution or violence - Full ability to visit Israel thanks to American/English passports - Engineered narrative - no one used the word Zionists back then - The survivor lie - Nakba had a 99% survival rate. To compare, the Holocaust had a 30% survival rate. Brilliantly backfired. Thank you @NYCMayor @oliviaLbecker

I was walking around the Nova festival exhibit, trying to digest the horrors I’d seen befall hundreds of beautiful young souls as a result of a medieval death cult ideology, when a friend came over and showed me this photo. “Did you hear what happened in Golders Green last night?” In the same place two men were stabbed in another racist attack against Jews weeks ago. Carried out because of the same ideology. And now another brutal racist attack, on another young Jewish person. Because of the same ideology. Nova happened thousands of miles away. This was down the road. The UK is not a safe place for Jews. Like it wasn’t for young girls at another music event. Like it wasn’t for young girls. Unless we start having difficult conversations about where the line is between not all Muslims, and the Muslims who do carry out these attacks, it will no longer be a safe place for you.

Heartbroken by the shooting today at the Islamic Center of San Diego. There should be no hesitation for anyone to condemn anti-Muslim hate. Praying for all those affected by this tragedy today.

A devastasting headline. @Telegraph: 'Australia is no longer safe for Jews, say Holocaust survivors.' This was one of the key threads heard by witnesses testifying before the Royal Commission into Antisemitism, these past two weeks. telegraph.co.uk/gift/d489eb4ac…

While the NYT is busy posting depraved falsehoods about Israelis — I'm thinking about Miss. Arbel Yehoud, who was kidnapped from Israel by Palestinians on October 7th. For 482 days, Arbel was sexually abused "almost every day" in Gazan captivity. “I tried to take my life several times. I felt that I couldn’t go on,” Yehoud told Israel Hayoum news. "There were moments I thought it was the only way out," she said, clarifying that she attempted suicide 3 times. The abuse — she stressed to the news outlet — was "not a one-time incident but an almost daily reality throughout her 482 days in captivity." She says in the following video she only spoke out about it publicly after she saw fellow former hostage Romi Gonen speak publicly about her traumas. "I think the change [of wanting to speak out] happened to me after our beloved Romi appeared on the news. I had kept it buried until then." May we never forget the real victims of sexual abuse on October 7th💔

Mayor, my grandparents were expelled from their land too. I have deep sympathy for the many Palestinians who experienced that. I’m not going to debate who was responsible. My grandmother fled North Africa and Iraq after the Farhud of 1941. Six years before any war over Israel. Palestinians were expelled during a war Arab states launched against us. Over 850,000 Jews were driven from Arab lands. Almost none remain. Maybe the mayor of New York should stay out of it. Or speak to both. Don’t weaponize one trauma while actively erasing another. Especially when using this “Visit Palestine” poster created by Frank Krausz, a Holocaust Survivor and a Zionist Jew.
