A fringe figure wrote an Op-Ed attacking me for affirming Israel’s right to defend itself in the wake of the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. She is part of an Anti-Israel organization, named Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (do not be fooled by names), that described Hamas’ terrorist attack as not “unprovoked.” That should tell you everything you need to know about this person and the company she keeps.

To clarify on the Starlink issue: the Ukrainians THOUGHT coverage was enabled all the way to Crimea, but it was not. They asked Musk to enable it for their drone sub attack on the Russian fleet. Musk did not enable it, because he thought, probably correctly, that would cause a major war.

If you think that telling me that my photography "sucks," because you don't like something I said on X matters to me, you don't know me very well. I stopped caring about what other people think about my photography a long, long, long time ago. Criticizing my photography on a political post on X mostly just points to your own intellectual laziness not to be able to actually argue a point -- if you're enough of an asshole I'll probably just end up blocking you anyways. I make my photography for one person, me. Definitely not for some dude with 3 followers on Twitter. If other people want to follow along that's fine by me. I've made a lot of friends through photography over the years -- but I'm the ONLY one whose opinion matters about my work. Too many artists/photographers care about what other people think about their art. All artistic criticism is actually invalid to me. It's all silly and stupid. You even see some of the greats criticizing each other sometimes. Ansel Adams criticizing William Eggleston, or Joel Meyerowitz criticizing Bruce Gilden, etc. I've had a quote from Andy Warhol on my Flickr profile page for many years now that expresses my view on artistic criticism well: "Don't think about making art. Just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they're deciding, make even more art." - Andy Warhol
