They call them “data centers” because calling them “mass surveillance centers” would cause a national uprising.
The government and Big Tech don’t build billion-dollar facilities in the middle of nowhere just to store your family photos.
They are building the infrastructure for a surveillance state— one capable of monitoring your speech, mapping your behavior, tracking your movements, analyzing your purchases, harvesting your biometrics, and building a real-time digital profile of your entire life.
And they package it all under buzzwords like “AI,” “security,” and “innovation” so the public blindly applauds the expansion of the very system being built to monitor them.
WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Imagine a building a half-mile wide. Now imagine that building stretches from Seattle to Portland. That's what they're gonna build in Utah. Utahns showed up in droves to oppose it. The 3-man county commission passed it anyway. This is "democracy." Lol I don't normally advocate violence, but they're making it VERY difficult here.

I would support this. If anyone has ever met Mike Schultz's mother, you would know they raised him right.
One of the few reasons I trust Speaker Schultz is, not because he always makes the right choice, but because I think he genuinely tries to; he is sincere, he has integrity, and I believe his duty to represent weighs on him heavily.

Utah residents packed meetings begging officials to stop a massive AI data center project tied to billionaire Kevin O’Leary.
They warned about water usage, environmental destruction, corporate control, and losing their own community to the AI gold rush.
The response from leadership? Mockery, arrogance, and complete disregard for the people footing the bill through taxes and local support.
One commissioner even told residents to “grow up.”
Then they approved the project anyway.
This is what happens when corporations and political power merge. Citizens become obstacles. Communities become assets. And local voices become irrelevant.

I’m the only developer of data centers on earth that graduated from environmental studies. I'm pretty aware of what these concerns are. They are around air, water use, heat, noise pollution. So sustainability is at the heart of what we do in terms of all these proposals. We search for the best technology. There's many air-cooled turbines now, so you're blending in air-cooled versus water. There's so many different ways to generate power. We can also put a percentage of the power generation through solar, wind, and batteries because the battery technology is 10X more efficient than it was just five years ago. So that's very helpful because it makes the cost of energy lower.

Don't know if your familiar with Christianity but a very famous person you may have heard on named Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits". The fruit of lying outright is clearly showing everyone who you are and what you're all about. This is all about the cha ching and you know it.

Unpopular opinion: I am ok with the data center as long as the owners of the land don’t have a problem, water usage issues are clearly resolved, and the thing doesn’t draw from Rocky Mountain Power’s electricity generation.
But not letting people say their piece is stupid.
