There is a HUGE opportunity for B2B companies to dominate using Digital PR right now.
30% of our clients are now in B2B & SaaS. It's a different world but you make a big impact by using the below framework.
🖥 👨 Approach campaigns with your audience interests first and not your product functionality first.
It's B2B but you are still talking to people.
📰 Take this a step further and analyse the press and sites you want to get on.
When was the last time they talked directly about what you sell? When was the last time they talked about it and it wasn't a paid for feature? What do they talk about and where is the overlap with what you do and what your audience is interested in.
If you want to talk about your product that's an ad.
You can earn coverage in the same press your competitors are paying to feature in by creating stories.
⌛ Remove as much red tape as you can.
B2B environments aren't always set up to be fast or reactive. There's a huge opportunity to be getting your brand out there whilst your competitors are still discussing whether or not to actually comment on it.
➰ Link it all back up.
In B2B the end goal comes down to leads. That lead time might be 3 months, 6 months or longer. We use tools to track which companies are engaging with our PR campaigns on site. We then re-purpose these campaigns as sales enablement tools for our clients so their sales team can use them engage with warm or lapsed leads.
The best in B2B PR are doing things like this whilst the others are reporting on AVE still.

@natejhake Article is in P9 for the keyword "audio technica needle not dropping" - outranked by lots of videos, PAA's, Reddit (obvs), and forum articles. The page itself has broken images. Great example after bragging they are using the "highest quality information out there."

English

Don't believe Google's lies about how SGE works - SGE just steals content & summarizes it!
🤥 LIE: At #GoogleIO they just said that SGE "fanned out and combed the web to find relevant insights from articles, forums, videos, and more - and it stitched all of this together in my AI overview."
👇 TRUTH: Really, SGE just stole this single article & summarized/condensed it - so readers won't have to click out to the actual website.

English

@aleyda But they said they are using the "highest quality information out there" then showed Quora results as sources. 💀

Google is launching AI Overviews in the US due to the high satisfaction users have shown towards it. I imagine they're not referring to AI overviews like this one about "Best SEO professionals" in which half are not even SEOs, one is dead (RIP Bill)... taken from a LinkedIn Post 🫣 Another LI post is also ranking in top organic position too! So relevant and authoritative for this query. 👀🍿

I didn't actually expected Google to release their AI Overviews so fast because... in a very high share of scenarios still the answers give a much worse experience than traditional search results! But here we are. It will start to be rolled out in the US. Here's a guide, with the analysis I did about it, and a sheet to assess impact in your own context: The impact of Google’s SGE (now AI Overviews) & What To do About it - aleydasolis.com/en/search-engi…

Which one of my good friends here is doing a #GoogleIO2024 post/thread? I'm deliberately avoiding here tonight as I'll see spoilers for an event I need to catch up on after the gym.

Google rolls out AI Overviews in US with more countries coming soon - what does this mean for SEOs - I go deep here searchengineland.com/google-rolls-o…

@njmott Exactly. Did you see how often Quora showed up in their results 💀
English

@lilyraynyc And 'best' is determined solely by Google reviews?

Obviously not surprised, but wouldn't it be nice if @sundarpichai mentioned a single sentence or idea related to:
- The extreme devastation (or they could frame it as 'improvements') Google search has caused thousands, if not millions of websites, with recent algorithm updates and spam policies
- How Google plans to combat AI-generated spam, plagiarism, and full on thievery throughout its products (Search, Discover and News)
- Eliminating "45% of the unhelpful content on the internet" and what that even means
- How Google plans to encourage and incentivize small/medium publishers to keep creating content in a landscape where there is literally no incentive anymore
- How SGE will reference and link to publishers and support a healthy online ecosystem
- How Google plans to combat spam/disinformation in SGE (AI overviews)
- Perpetual Google search algorithm updates for most of 2024
Wishful thinking, I know

@MarkPreston1969 The actual dream! I would invest it in creating awesome Digital PR content and supporting that content with outreach, PPC and influencer work.

If you had a $2m+ per month budget to buy/build/acquire links in a highly competitive market...
What would you do?

"Links are the number 1 ranking factor in competitive verticals and the main way to differentiate yourself. In the casino niche players are spending 2 million plus a month on link building" - Stake SEO Lead. Good quote from DMA conference.

Hey @AirTanker, long time no see.
2 years ago you told us you wouldn’t fly refugees to Rwanda on behalf of the UK government ... now you're not answering our calls.
So we're turning up the heat.
Tell AirTanker: Don't profit from refugees' pain 👇
