The BMC is now proposing to privatise and hand over its schools to private players (most would be builders) under the bjp regime. What a shame! Over the past 2 decades, we managed to turn around BMC schools into schools that had upgraded infrastructure, curricular and extra curricular activities. From being the ONLY municipal corporation to have SSC, CBSE, IB, IGSCE and ICSE boards in the world, for free to having all our schools having access to digital education, and extra curricular activities like gender equality, astronomy clubs, nature clubs and much more… To the bjp run BMC wanting to privatise schools! Infact the BMC must look for schools that have been captured by private institutes or school plots that haven’t been handed back to the @mybmc by builders and take them back, to run free and quality education!

Today, exercising the provisions of the Constitution of India, more than two-thirds of the AAP MPs in the Rajya Sabha have merged with the BJP. Seven MPs have signed the document, which was submitted to the Hon’ble Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. I, along with two other MPs, personally handed over the signed documents.

आज पश्चिम रेल्वेचे विभागीय रेल्वे व्यवस्थापक पंकज सिंह जी यांची भेट घेतली. वांद्रे पूर्व रेल्वे स्थानक परिसराच्या सुशोभीकरण व उन्नतीकरणासाठी रेल्वेने पुढाकार घ्यावा, अशी मागणी केली. या कामासाठी मी माझ्या आमदार निधीतून निधी मंजूर केला असून, आवश्यक परवानग्यांअभावी प्रकल्प सध्या प्रलंबित आहे. यासंदर्भात यापूर्वी महापालिका आयुक्तांची भेट घेतली असून, लवकरच रेल्वे आणि महापालिका यांची संयुक्त बैठक घेऊन या प्रकल्पाला गती देण्याबाबत चर्चा करण्यात आली. तसेच वांद्रे पूर्व परिसरातील रेल्वे हद्दीत अनेक वर्षांपासून वास्तव्यास असलेल्या स्थानिक रहिवाशांना दिल्या जाणाऱ्या निष्कासन नोटिसांबाबत मुद्दा उपस्थित केला. या कुटुंबांमध्ये निर्माण झालेली भीती त्यांच्या निदर्शनास आणून देत, त्यांच्या निवाऱ्याचा प्रश्न संवेदनशीलतेने हाताळावा आणि ही कारवाई तात्पुरती थांबवावी, अशी विनंती केली. Met Western Railway Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Pankaj Sinh Ji today. Urged the Railways to take the lead in the beautification and upgradation of the Bandra East railway station precinct, with a strong focus on making it more pedestrian-friendly and commuter-centric. I have already allocated funds for this work from my MLA fund, however, the project remains stuck due to required permissions. I had earlier taken up this matter with the Municipal Commissioner. A joint meeting between the Railways and the Municipal Corporation will be convened shortly to expedite the project. Also raised concerns regarding eviction notices being issued to long-settled residents within railway limits in Bandra East. Highlighted the anxiety among these families and requested that the matter be handled with sensitivity, with a pause on the eviction action.
