Very excited to announce that my paper was accepted to the ICML this year. I derive a relationship between the token space geometry and the learned world model on chess reasoning tasks.

the whole “asian women introducing themselves to tech twt” format is being misinterpreted as culturally derivative from linkedin it’s actually a league/valorant twitter thing, where the intro format is widely used for getting duos surprised nobody’s caught this

@EC_AVService As an EU citizen I have a right to run arbitrary code at full performance on the device I own.

@EC_AVService The law that enables 3rd party web browsers technical effect is to allow non-apple application to create executable memory pages at runtime. The permission is specially carved out for web browsers. The law must expand to all kind of applications.

Apple decided not to roll out SIRI AI in the EU. The non-interoperability of their design made the update not suitable for the EU market. Why? Because big tech companies cannot decide which EU tool should be used by EU citizens. Learn more👇 📺youtube.com/shorts/ATg_W0N…

@EC_AVService Without this, apple is anti-competitively able to implement orders of magnitude faster jit compiled code, which is the technical barrier (along with being barred from the appstore), why all ios web browsers needed to use apples WebView.

Please force them to allow creating executable memory pages at runtime. Currently only apple has that permission, with a special carve out for web browsers. The law that forces them to allow it for other web browser must expand to all applications.

We never really knew how to train nonlinear RNNs well… BPTT struggled with vanishing grads (no long-range memory) and sequential rollout (hard to parallelizable). What if instead an oracle told us the optimal memory state m_t at each step? Then the RNN could do one-step supervised learning on (m_t, x_{t+1}) → m_{t+1} labels. We call this Supervised Memory Training (SMT): a replacement for BPTT that trains RNNs without unrolling them. SMT is time-parallelizable and solves vanishing gradients. @alz_zyd_ this is cope by people who wouldn’t wipe their own ass before calculating the ROI people work on things because of the inherent qualities of the subject that they can sense there is neither a forest nor trees. Like all sayings, it is used to disguise the lack of insight

@Shaun_Fosmark why not express the idea, showing its beauty, and explain why you think it is wrong, all in the same manuscript?

If you had a paper about gravity that was beautiful but you thought it was wrong, would you still publish it just for people to look at and get ideas from?

the kernel of the ideas which led to general relativity and the kernel of those that led to nothing both share that at inception they would crumble under the slightest of criticisms

“As for what θ(0) should be, our answer is: we are lofty physicists, not nitpicking mathematicians, so we will deal with it if it becomes necessary.” Japanese textbook authors are hilarious
