Ok, I’ve had it. I feel like I’m living in bizarro world, and this is why the NBA MVP is now meaningless. Last night Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to put up a stat line of - 40+ Points, 10+ Assists, 5+ Rebounds, 5+ Threes, and 0 Turnovers So today the media ignores that, and an MVP voter (Chris Broussard) proclaims that Shai doesn’t have to campaign for the MVP award, because he is “cool”. However, Luka Doncic, because he isn’t “cool” dropped in ranking, by not begging for the award. The reason?? Because an activist MVP voter that writes for the NBA, moved Wembanyama to #1 on his list, after campaigning for the award. Not for his play, but because of an embarrassing speech he gave to the media. So we ignore the historic month that Luka Doncic just had to make the MVP race about THIS. By the way, what makes Shai so “cool” @Chris_Broussard that he’s exempt from your imaginary benchmark?? Is it because he’s a white European?? If that’s the case, at least have the guts to say it. They’re admitting right in front of your face that it doesn’t matter what Luka Doncic does on the court, they will find any dumb reason to not vote for him, then laugh about it on TV. Max Clark is a clown. He deserves all the criticism he gets. Highly touted, but still just 21 and barely above mediocre in the minors (.810 OPS). Shows up to camp looking like a fool, with that much bling around his neck. Can't field for shit, dropping routine fly balls. Dumb.

I am not tagging you, I'm responding. The announcer did think it was a sacrifice fly. They don't know all the scoring rules. I can tell you that he follows this account though (I looked it up). There are CLEAR CUT RULES on this. Infielder catching a ball has to be running into the outfield for a sacrifice fly to be awarded. I believe I have enough clout around here with knowing some of these things. I'm glad others have learned a scoring rule they didn't know ... exactly what I love about having this account. Al I can do is educate. I can't make you want to learn ... that's on you.

Do you know what I love more than anything? Being right and having things to back it up. For Chris, I present a pop-up to an infielder in foul territory who is not running into the outfield in foul territory, he is just in four territory. The ball is caught, the runner on third tags and scores. As you can plainly see, the batter was NOT credited with a sacrifice fly. Now, I asked about this, and was told by the powers that be that this was the 100% correct scoring on this play because it didn't meet the criteria of an infielder running into the outfield in fair or foul territory. I hope that ends it. Honestly, any more arguing and I'll just assume you just want to be stubborn and not admit that I have this and you don't (which is fine, this is my area of expertise, not yours).

It looks like a lot but when you break it down its not that significant imo Mathurin is a FA this offseason and his value likely diminishes via trade as a RFA than right now Jackson is probably the third center if you land Zubac anyway The goal would be to be competing for a championship next year and in the foreseeable future so the picks should be late
