Moreover, Cox’s declaration was a slap in the face to the majority of Utahns who believed in preserving the sanctity of marriage and protecting our youth from gender ideology. His decision to align with figures like Dan Reynolds, who openly pushed a pro-LGBTQ+ agenda through events like LoveLoud, showed a blatant disregard for the concerns of conservative families. Reynolds’ influence, amplified by Cox’s platform, turned Utah into a testing ground for social experiments that had no place in a state built on faith and family. This move was not about love or acceptance; it was about power and control. Cox used Pride Month to virtue-signal to a national audience, hoping to boost his image as a "moderate" Republican while ignoring the backlash from his own constituents.
