i am leaving bangalore and moving back to my hometown - faridabad. and for the first time in a long time, i can actually hear myself think. bangalore was kind to me. it really was. it gave me the job, the friends, the love of my life, every room i wanted to be in. and somehow i became someone there. but i was working on someone else's terms without any freedom and there was literally no life of my own. my mind, my body, my ambition - all running the same loop and coming back tired. bangalore's startup culture is real. competing with the valley, building serious things, all of that is true. but everyone's in the same race and no one's clearly winning. i didn't want to be one of the many. i wanted the road less travelled - run alone or with a few, and actually get somewhere worth getting to. so i left the job. came home. doing what i should've been doing - being the eldest child, sitting with my grandparents, travelling, making time for the things i want to live, not just accomplish. leaving was the hardest decision i've made. it’s also the one i had zero second thoughts about. that's how i knew. if you're young and ambitious, go to bangalore once. let it shape you. it's worth it. but if it ever starts taking more than it gives, leave. nobody's going to give you permission. bangalore gave me more than i could chew. i'll always be grateful. but something inside me was dying. always grateful to everything i got from this city <3 it’ll always have a piece of my heart! here's to whatever's next.

@OfficialBMRCL Say "NO" to Ph.3 entire corridor double-decker. Integrated Ph.3 structures to remove intersection bottlenecks is fine, but not building it throughout. That is the lesson from Silk Board. @chiefsecy_gok @MoHUA_India - This saves money & serves metro purpose🙏🏼

Bengaluru: Do you know why no politician inaugurated the double-decker flyover? Because they know - it shifted traffic to Ragi Gudda - it was unscientific - it had no traffic studies - we'll rant, but adjust Oh heck! It didn't even have a DPR !! Accountability - What's that?

Brijesh Kumar from Jharkhand, a migrant , allegedly raped a U.S. tourist in Karnataka. Incidents like this damage the state’s global reputation. Our politicians should seriously look into and address issues related to uncontrolled migration. @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar

The landing point for an elevated road should be chosen such that there is long stretch of free movement after that point. We build elevated roads that land at signals, and then we are surprised that they are choking up the road on descent. BMLTA should be strengthened and allowed to do its job as a proper planner of mobility. The combo on Metro, GBA and others winging it is not working, because they don't have the necessary expertise.

@MhaskarChief Hey can you tell me if the owner was Kannadiga? Why did he cover up the crime and not report to the police and assist her? Are you proud of how he behaved and do you condone this?

Yusuf Unjhawala 🇮🇳
Karnataka is the second driest state after Rajasthan and drought prone. Yet between 2016 and 2023, the area for the water guzzling sugarcane doubled from 3.7 lakh hectares in 2016 to 6.9 lakh hectares. ~20 million litres of water is required per hectare for sugarcane. That is ~14 trillion litres of water = 490 TMC. To put in perspective, Kaveri river has ~740 TMC in a good monsoon. Karnataka’s share is ~285 TMC. It’s madness to encourage ethanol production.
Yusuf Unjhawala 🇮🇳@YusufDFI

Ethanol is NOT the solution to our oil import dependency. We are a water stressed country. How much exactly do we “save” with blending and will that be worth the cost of reaching a stage when we have to desalinate ocean waters to fulfil our needs?

Opening of #Silkboard DDflyover HSR to RagiGudda may cause congestion at Marenhalli signal. To solve this,an underpass or other road infrastructure solutions will be taken up after doing feasibility study. -Ramesh KN,Commissioner Bengaluru South Corporation @comm_blr_south
