Isn't Railways a Central subject? Why were the platforms not cleaned earlier?

Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes.
He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader.
I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.

The decision taken by Jahangir Khan to withdraw from the Falta re-poll is his personal decision and not that of the party.
Since the election results were declared on 4th May, more than 100 of our party workers have been arrested in Falta AC alone. Several party offices have been vandalised, shut down and forcibly captured in broad daylight through intimidation, while the EC continues to turn a blind eye despite repeated complaints.
Even in the face of such pressure, our workers remain rock-solid and continue to resist the BJP’s intimidation unleashed through agencies and the administration. However, some eventually succumbed to the pressure and chose to step away from the field.
We strongly condemn this. Our fight against the Bangla Birodhi BJP will continue- both in West Bengal and in Delhi.

I have never in my life witnessed another woman quite so lionhearted!
#MamataBanerjee who truly understands the pulse of the common people of Bengal, she has today personally made her way to the precincts of the judiciary.
She stands resolute today in her determination to secure justice against the violence inflicted upon her party workers, as well as the vandalism of party offices, in the aftermath of the Assembly elections.
She has always stood as a shield against the injustices suffered by her workers—and today was no exception.
Such a scene is truly rare in the landscape of Bengal's politics. a top-tier leader herself stepping onto the battlefield of legal combat to stand firmly by her workers.
While many engage in politics for the sake of power, "Didi" pursues politics for the sake of people's rights and the dignity of her workers and today's action serves as irrefutable proof of that very principle.
Standing amidst India's current political landscape, such fearlessness and a fighting spirit truly command a salute.
The one who leads from the front like a commander in times of peril. she, indeed, is a true leader!
Mamata Banerjee has been in our hearts, precisely because of this indomitable fighting spirit, she will remain there forever.

To every soldier of the Trinamool Congress family, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your courage, resilience, and relentless fight for justice. Despite an extremely difficult and compromised election, you never gave up hope.
Our candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed in several places, while the counting process was effectively controlled by Central Government employees. After the results, Bengal witnessed shocking post-poll violence despite repeated promises of protection by the Centre. Central forces remained mute spectators as our workers, offices, and homes were attacked and set ablaze.
My deepest condolences to the families of those we lost in this struggle. Bengal has suffered immensely over the past few days, and such scenes are against the very spirit of our land.
But this fight is far from over. We will challenge every illegality, manipulation, and abuse of power through every constitutional and legal avenue available to us. We have full faith in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and in the democratic institutions of this country. In more than 100 seats, our candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed, serious irregularities were reported, and the mandate of the people was undermined. The truth cannot be buried forever, and every injustice faced by the people of Bengal will be raised with strength and determination.
The people of Bengal know who stood beside them through every hardship, and we must continue to do so with patience, unity, and determination. Truth cannot be suppressed forever. We will return stronger.
Stay united. Stay on the ground. Continue serving the people with courage, discipline, and positivity. Our fight will continue with unwavering determination and faith in democracy.

India's fiercest female politician and the most popular mass leader, Mamata Banerjee’s tenure as Chief Minister of West Bengal (2011–2026) has been profoundly defined by a “welfare-first” governance model, making it likely she will be remembered in the history forever for her extensive populist schemes.

Muslims in India don't hate Hindus. Go to any mosque on Friday in any state, you won't find anti Hindu comments in even one sermon. On the other hand, Hindutva people are obsessed with Muslims. Can't even celebrate own festivals without invoking Muslims
Ritika@estaritika
If hindus started hating muslims the same way muslims hate hindus, they wouldn’t even be able to exist in India.

Trinamool Congress got 41% votes and BJP got 46%, a difference of 5%. Out of this, there are still 35 lakh valid voters who could not vote. Then there is the CCTV footage being removed and Trinamool counting agents being forcibly evicted. You cannot stay in power for long by force. BJP will understand this in the next elections @MamataOfficial @abhishekaitc @RahulGandhi @yadavakhilesh

Garga Chatterjee is a scholar of rare caliber.
He has MBBS degree from Medical College, University of Calcutta, Chatterjee
He has done PhD from Harvard University in the Cognition, Brain and Behavior track at the Vision Sciences Lab headed by Professor Ken Nakayama.
Now, he is an assistant professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
There are few Bengalis as educated and brilliant as he is. He would be better off simply focusing on his own research; what is the need to sacrifice his career and life for the sake of Bengal and the Bengali people?
Do Bengalis themselves even want anyone to fight on their behalf?
In the past, whenever he observed any decision detrimental to the interests of Bengal and Bengalis, he heavily criticized even the Trinamool Congress—and the Trinamool government itself.
Then also he faced abuse back from a certain people. now he has gone so far as to be arrested yet, even after all this, a certain section of Bengalis continues to shower him with hatred.
I would also urge the rest of the members of Bangla Pokkho: please stop. Is there really any need to invite trouble upon yourselves through all of this?

At least no one can ever blame @MamataOfficial Didi for corruption. She remained exactly who she always was: simple, grounded, and unwavering. That honesty and integrity are her greatest strength.
Love you Didi. Proud of you, always.
