Dear @AmitShah Ji, my daughter was travelling from Ahmd to NYC for higher studies at a premier institute in US today. The immigration officer at the Ahmd airport not just misbehaved but threatened her. She is admitted to @DukeU Though she had valid USA students visa, he asked for Indian degree certificate & then alleged that these are fake degrees. She had studied at premier institute (Narsee Monjee, Mumbai) He tried to coerced her to confess that her degrees are fake. Threatened her that she will not allowed to travel & legal action will be taken against her. He harassed for almost 12-15 minutes. Unnecessary questions like why you studied in Mumbai not Gujarat. How did you manage to get admission when you belong to small place like Bhavnagar? Lastly passed lewd remarks laughing at her & joking with another immigration officer. She was literally scared& crying. Sir is this what immigration officers are meant to do with a girl student ? I humbly request to take strict action against this officer . MUMBAI : A brother implicated in a #falserape case has walked out of Jail today. Just spoke to him & couldn't hold my tears He told me he was in a barrack meant for 49 but there were 350 men inside it. Some had to sleep in the Toilet. Woman who accused him of Rape on false promise of marriage is an adult woman, a divorcee, was in live-in with him for a year, filed 3 more such rape cases on different men before him. He didn't know about it. He broke up with her because she was abusive and controlling but she wanted to marry him through hook or crook. It shatters me how blind the system is. We laid out all the cases of this woman in front of the court before summer holidays. But the Judge didn't really have time to listen to us and gave a date after vacations. Sometimes I feel so helpless and broken. This brother before going to Jail had requested me to get him out soon but neither he nor did i know that holidays are more important in Judiciary than human rights of people So many young men like him are languishing in jails today because they broke up with a woman. India should either remove this provision of rape on false promise of marriage or declare that non-marriage with a girlfriend is CRIME Won't give up on this case though. Will surely expose her someday!
