Ethereum is still not scaling; the narrative is false That is why Solana has 72x the usage (TPS) compared to ETH! Even when we include L2s (who keep most fees). SOL still has 7x the TPS than all L2s combined! Chase hype all you want, the reality that SOL is winning remains 🔥

Premine affects fiat distribution not coin distribution. Mining: 1. Pay fiat to buy machine 2. The more fiat you pay, the more coin you get. 3. Fiat goes to mining machine companies. Premine: 1. Pay fiat to buy coin 2. The more fiat you pay, the more coin you get. 3. Fiat goes to developers. The only difference here is whether fiat goes to the developers or the mining machine companies.

Mainstream Linux distros have been focused for too long on being as similar to Windows and Mac as possible to ease adoption. I've come to believe this isn't the way. Linux needs to embrace its own aesthetic, its own ethos, unapologetically. Lean into rice and TUIs!

@dhh Furthermore, running services on big clouds should cost less than running them in-house since they have much greater scale. But in practice, it costs 10x more.

Cloud computing is the most successful "you will own nothing and be happy" psyop in history. We gave up on DARPA's beautifully, decentralized design for the internet to become renters for life. Tragic.

@ETHGlobal My experience is that protocols and organizers also tend to abandon builders after grants. The truth is that we are not yet even close to creating protocols and platforms to sustain innovations in the long term.

Protocols have spent $billions on grants and yet 90% of crypto users still stay disengaged. Grants are political, subjective, and rarely reward long-term impact. We should instead pay builders only when they drive real, measurable onchain impact. No grants or guesswork. @hola_denisse is the co-founder of @letsdivvi, a permissionless revenue-sharing layer that lets protocols reward builders for driving real onchain activity.

@nikzh No decentralized network is capable of being “the world computer”. Ethereum is much more than just a blob storage for L2, but even this is a great responsibility. And using price to discredit a technology is a huge fallacy.

@chrispavlovski @alexandre why people still wasting time with "alternative" centralized platforms? If I want a real censorship-resistant platform, I would never use Rumble or any shit like this.

Bitcoiners were people who wanted to replace the financial system with a p2p cash system. Today, Bitcoiners do not use BTC as cash, are against other cash solutions outside of Bitcoin, and still do not accept that Blockchain can be used for general purposes other than cash.

@vinibarbosabr I like the example. Cryptos are fragile like sand castles, they continually dissolve and depend on continuous maintenance to stay standing. Yet we like to build and are getting very good at it.

In life (and in crypto) there are two type of kids: 1. The ones who enjoy building and watching sand castles; 2. The ones who enjoy destroying them. Both are so easily recognizable. Be more like the first group and stay away of the second.

@_ibrahimoumar @MinaProtocol @proto_kit @IPFS Technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs, IPFS and Mina Protocol are highly complex and not easily understood by everyone. This can lead to trust issues between users. Do you have a plan to address this?

@_ibrahimoumar @MinaProtocol @proto_kit @IPFS For users who do not understand the technology, the process can be complex or intimidating. Technical knowledge may be required to carry out the voting process. What do you plan to do for older and non-tech savvy people?

@anarkrypto @EmanAbio @EvanWeb3 @SasuRobert @KyleSamani There is, however, a huge difference in scaling through fragmented L2s with centralized sequencers; than to scale with composable shards that keep the decentralization primitives. The criticisms are not misplaced, but they are fairly misunderstood, specially by EVM supporters.

@vinibarbosabr @EmanAbio @EvanWeb3 @SasuRobert @KyleSamani There's a practical limit to how many shards you can add while maintaining security. As shards grow, they face their own scalability challenges. Also, shards are not incompatible with L2, in fact in Ethereum shards are being adopted in a way to improve L2.

@vinibarbosabr @EmanAbio @EvanWeb3 @SasuRobert @KyleSamani But when it comes to protocols, collaboration is much more important than competition. For example, the Internet works globally thanks to the consensus of universal protocols such as TCP/IP. If each country wanted to have its own protocol, a global Internet would not be possible.

Yes, everyone wants to sell their own solution. That’s the built of the free market. Solutions can improve, led by economic incentives. Multiple protocols is inevitable and the natural path for a industry that is still maturing and is innovating technologically-wise. Cross-chain experiences are becoming better with time as well.
