Yesterday I took my biggest loss on Polymarket,around $30k. What hurts most isn’t the money, but that the majority of it was caused by Polymarket.The Russia-Ukraine ceasefire market got disputed over the humanitarian pause rule. The Easter truce went No (as expected), so this one should have too. They later clarified Yes, which I could live with...but then suddenly pulled the entire market while people were still actively trading, literally seconds after my order filled.That decision alone turned a $5-10k loss into $30k. After this, I’m seriously questioning whether Polymarket is still safe to trade on. @shayne_coplan @williamlegate @mustafap0ly @0xdanzu

This guy literally hacked Polymarket with a hair dryer 💀 Happened in Paris. On Polymarket, temperature bets were settled using a single sensor near Charles de Gaulle Airport. He figured out the exact location, showed up in person, and placed a bet on an “impossible” outcome 22°C when the market expected 18°C. Then he pulled out a hair dryer and heated the sensor. The artificial spike got recorded as the daily high → market settled → he cashed out. Did it twice. Walked away with ~$34K. While everyone’s arguing over indicators and alpha, this guy is out here doing IRL market manipulation.

Not to sound like the expert 🤓 but I tweeted at you before Masters even started how non of my bids on Polymarket that were very tight to the spread were getting hit. The liquidity difference was insane so I shouted yall out. Not sure if PM just doesn’t have a sports department or if the guy was OOO the week of one of the biggest sporting events 😭
