Just got my Lakers season ticket invoice. They are not only raising prices next season 14% (for my section), but are also adding a 3% "Admin Fee" if you don't pay in full. 5-month and 9-month payment plans were available for recent previous season, without a % penalty.

Whatever the attendance is like at today’s NBA All-Star Game just know there are over 20,000 basketball fans in Los Angeles that would love to go regardless of the 2 p.m. tip-off time, new format and injuries but can’t afford it when it costs over $900 for the cheapest ticket.

I'm not someone who thinks too much about All Star Weekend, but I'll say this: It should never be empty. It's an event for kids/families, so get some kids there-- schools/nonprofits/etc. They also gotta crack down on resellers to make sure tix go to people who actually use them.
