Everywhere you turn in Linux, major projects are going AI / Vibe coded.
According to @DHH, the next release of Omarchy Linux is “30,000 lines of new code. The majority of it was written by GPT5.5”.
shoutout to both my parents for hating my hairstyle
like I get it I just dont know what else to do with it, everything I do looks meh so I just kinda gave up years ago
@AlexJKelly Maybe so, but the solution isn't to genocide an entire population. The world just needed more people like Annie and good supes who actually save people and do good deeds
THE BOYS SERIES FINALE SPOILER
THE BOYS SERIES FINALE SPOILER
THE BOYS SERIES FINALE SPOILER
Butcher was right. It IS only a matter of time before another Homelander pops up as long as supes are allowed to exist. I get why Hughie shot him. He loves Annie and isn’t willing to 1/2
Mercado estimado da SpaceX: US$ 28,5 trilhões.
O PIB do planeta inteiro é US$ 105 trilhões.
PPT aceita tudo.
@urielsouza29@Ragnarr4859@FariaLimaElevat Estranho.
@ThePrimeagen here is a screenshot of some of the bun v1.3.14 release notes.
many more bugfixes like this
can’t rule out skill issue, but manual memory management combined with GC-managed memory is hard. could keep fixing one-off, or we could make it harder for these bugs to happen
with the zig to rust ecosystem due to segfaults...
why didn't bun's team just tell mythos to fix the segfaults?
"fix memory errors, no mistakes, and make it secure"
@w01_dev@xyz3c7a@LundukeJournal I’ve been using Wayland for 3 years now and I haven’t yet found a use case where this was a problem. But of course, your mileage may vary.
@xyz3c7a@andre_arag@LundukeJournal You're just repeating what you've been taught. Wayland doesn't even implement basic functionalities, like window positioning, and breaks all the apps that need it. It's not the developer who doesn't want to update, it's Wayland that makes it literally impossible.
"Wayland session detected: User experience will be degraded."
Every software should display this warning. 🤣
Context:
This specific screenshot is from QGIS, an open source cartography application, which has been dealing with Wayland bugs and limitations (including causing problems with docking toolbar windows) for many years.
After nearly 18 years I can stop working on Model S and X. We put so much love into these products, but will continue to pour that into the future products. Thanks to everyone who believed in and supported these cars through the years. We strived for the best and will never stop. Saying goodbye to something great and making room for something even greater!
Because out of the languages that agents are trained on, it’s the most balanced choice - for now. Better than python, JavaScript, Java, etc.
Rust would be a great choice if agents had more training on it - and if it had faster compilation times. In a world where code generation is fully automated and dependent on very fast feedback cycles, tooling performance matters a lot.
Which programming languages will thrive the most in the agent-era? Why will it not be Go? It is simple, consistent, predictable, and has excellent local reasoning.
@FatRustDev@carllerche Who cares? It compiles in seconds, generates a decent sized self contained executable, has good performance, excellent concurrency with go routines… the agent will handle the boilerplate. And if needed understanding the code later is relatively easy
