After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. What I’m realizing is this: North Carolina is sick. And for too long, leftist politicians like Cooper, Stein, and their friends have slapped a Band-Aid on a cancer. While families struggle with high grocery bills, rising inflation, shrinking housing inventory, surging crime, a sluggish small-business climate, and illegal immigration; our state leaders keep treating symptoms instead of the disease. For nearly a century, Democrats controlled the machinery of state government. Only three Republican governors in 100 years. No Republican Attorney General in over a century. Generations of one-party rule created the very problems hurting our communities today. North Carolina doesn’t need another dose of numbing agents and government “programs” that hide the pain. We need a real diagnosis and the courage to cut out the failed policies that are holding our people back. Our state deserves leadership rooted in faith, family, freedom, and accountability not the creeping socialist ideology influencing too many in today’s Democratic leadership. It’s time to stop masking symptoms and start healing North Carolina from the inside out.
