@askworkspace - please help - I have a new, approved workspace for nonprofit, but I cannot sign in to the admin console. The initial "administrator" is set up with a gmail.com email address. How can I get help?

@hwallop Looking at their website they seem to have different aphorisms on the sides of their different vans - very odd!

I suspect Davis’ understanding of the effect of dynamic pricing on entertainment ticketing may be as extensive as his understanding of the effect of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act upon the CofE… (h/t @RoryStewartUK). Thoughts on dynamic pricing here: andrewcollier.com/2024/09/02/why…

BREAK - @DavidDavisMP tells me he has referred Ticketmaster to the Competition and Markets Authority over the dynamic pricing of Oasis tickets "The rules are not working - this needs to be put right" Full interview @SkyPoliticsHub 7pm

But the question remains: if this trust, one of the most-closely-connected to national governance oversight in England in recent years, cannot get its governance information up-to-date and consistent, how can other organisations be expected to?

@warwickmansell Also - and I’m now guessing - it wouldn’t surprise me if GIAS didn’t have an option for either co-chair or to register more than one governor as chair!

@warwickmansell So theres no material contradiction between stepping down at end of academic year and remaining on GIAS until after first meeting of next academic year. Obviously this only one aspect! (3/3)

@warwickmansell Most boards elect a chair at the first meeting of the academic year. (Has always seemed odd to me, why not do it at the end of the previous academic year.) Until then current chair is technically the chair. (2/?)

The 50 Ages of Travel Just updated the guide to what you can/can’t do according to your age, from minus 12 weeks to 99. Some weird stuff, eg Europcar has no upper age limit at UK locations – except at Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton and York where it's under 76. independent.co.uk/travel/news-an…

@warwickmansell Although this from Palladian’s Articles seems to give them the right to appoint rather than elect. Seems like odd language to me! (NB the Articles provide for Local Governing Bodies - not Local Governing Committees)

@warwickmansell The LGC should have included 2 elected parents (in addition to any appointed governors who may have also been parents). Different process to remove them. And even then they should have been replaced with two elected parents. Otherwise probably not consistent with MAT’s articles.
