As part of @TCS_Spokane's “TCS Bikes” program, students got to hear from Sen. Majority Leader @andybillig about bike policy & how students can promote a bike-friendly #Spokane. TCS Bikes started after a 2022 project called “Livin’ Life on Two Wheels” prompted the school to continue helping student learn about biking in the city & how they can advocate for bike safety. TCS Bikes Program was made possible by a grant from @spokanecounty's Bike Swap, which funded a bike storage unit & bikes. @WAbikes @SpokeFest #SPSPromise

Spent part of the day with Medical Lake Mayor Terri Cooper learning more about the Gray fire and learning how best to support the communities experiencing loss & displacement. Could not be more impressed with Mayor Cooper & her dedication to helping the people of Medical Lk.

I just received an update on the fires from Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz. She said the most important message to everyone at the moment is to follow evacuations orders. This allows firefighters to most effectively do their jobs and, of course, keep everyone safe.

@WashingtonSRC Are you really trashing legislation to address climate change while fires caused by climate change are literally burning down whole neighborhoods in Spokane County!?!

Don't shoot the messenger. Sky-high gas prices are only going to get worse. Legislative Democrats passed cap-and-tax (SB 5126 in 2021), taking effect Jan. 1, 2023. Gas is up 87 cents per gallon since then. Republicans want to lower gas prices (SB 5756). #waleg #PainInTheGas

This is just devastating. 185 structures lost around Medical Lake. This is my parents street. Their house is gone. My uncle's and aunt's house is gone too. Thankfully they all made it out safely. #GrayFire
