@luisvega_dev @waynesutton @convex That, and the fact that it makes it hard to actually deploy a schema if a single document would break it. Love that guardrail, and I now hate developing without it. It's TRUE IAC

Switched to @convex and honestly, the DX is hard to go back from. Realtime data, backend functions, schema, auth-friendly patterns, and deploys all feel like one coherent system instead of five services taped together. Convex is a serious upgrade.

@Enscion25 I also don't love the idea of "other things" leaking into the place where I work on code. The most disruptive thing a dev has during "focus hours" is "the outer world". Having the main code app integrate email, calendar, slack, etc. Not a fan. Rather have a parallel app 4 that

If OpenAi does indeed have plans to fully replace the ChatGPT app with Codex in the future, it probably won't be the best marketing decision. The name ChatGPT has become known globally, & to some, it's not just an intelligence provider, It's their main point of reference for AI

it will always be crazy to me that companies with thousands of employees can successfully be influenced to think/talk/act the same entirely based on the one person at the top

Alright Anthropic, OpenAI: I need APIs that give me usage data. Granular. Per user. I need this in the same way its provided by every other company for all of time. What I dont want: "heres a $100,000 line vague line item of token spend".

@UAudio guys, you've sent out like 6 emails about the same thing in a matter of 2 days. Talk about begging people to unsubscribe

@linear I'm not a business expert by any means, but I think if you guys ever thought of creating your own git hosting platform, it would be an ABSOLUTE SLAM DUNK right now. Just saying

@george_nqu @convex Gotya, makes tons of sense. And yes, that's a cost you're likely to have to eat on most places, sadly

@andycasen @convex I understand why my costs increased (and it wouldn't be cheap on any provider), it was just that it previously was free (data egress, of which I have like 5TB/mo). Just wanted a bit more notice so I can migrate that functionality away

Looks like @convex shipped pricing changes. Our costs will increase by >$600/mo. I've contacted them for support so we can have time to implement changes, but it's been two weeks and no reply. It's a shame because it's such a good product. And this is the second time they've ghosted on support requests. Feels like deja vu as we've been here with Bubble before...

GitHub is facing a huge amount of problems. Uptime / reliability issues, serious bugs and now (yesterday) a critical security vulnerability that allowed remote code execution. Is it dying?

It's been another couple months since I shared progress about TanStack Table V9, but I've been working on it almost everyday with help from @riccardoperra0 this year! Here's what we mostly have done in the alpha: ✅ React Compiler compliance (harder than you'd think 🙃) ✅ State management overhaul with TanStack Store (atoms) ✅ Optionally subscribe to state slices (Less useMemo hacks needed) ✅ Tree shakable features/plugins (reduces bundle sizes by half for an average table) ✅ Large reductions in memory usage by storing row/column/cell functions on prototypes (up to 80% memory reduction on 100k virtualized rows) ✅ New helper utils (similar to TanStack Form) like createTableHook/useAppTable, tableOptions, improved column helpers, etc. ✅ New Table Devtools and better debugging options And honestly, so much more, including a docs & examples overhaul that is still underway. We're still figuring out some details with the reactivity system, especially for non-React adapters, but I think we're getting somewhat close to beta.

I really want to like & use @AnthropicAI over @OpenAI . On paper, they are way more aligned with my core values & principles. But boy are they making it hard... As a dev, codex has just been superior
