Several things. I don’t suppose you could help overhearing the conversation? You’re a doctor? Doing work in a pub? Doctoring not paying a lot I can understand but I thought you guys/gals were all working 72 hr shifts, sleeping at the desk etc. £2,000 in cash IS a large amount of money to carry around but if he’s in London for the day and feels like many people do, that using a bank card lets the Govt know what he’s spending his money on, I can understand why he might prefer to have taken cash rather than use a bank card, especially if he’s having to stay in a hotel overnight. London hotels aren’t cheap, unless you’ve arrived on a dinghy.

Doing some work in a pub and there's a farmer couple next to me, up in London having attended the inheritance protest. He's been on the phone persuading someone not to include VAT if he pays in cash. He also just took out about £2000 in cash to pay for his beer.

Nothing to do with far right. Just common sense, and people have a human right to benefit from their taxes rather than see the country's resources spent on foreign nationals instead of satisfactory housing ,health and education for those who have worked and paid in for it. When you look at reforms membership, both in numbers and diversity, it is quite ridiculous to describe them as 'far right', and I think you know it.

If you fight on the far right’s terrain, you will lose. Parroting their anti-immigration rhetoric only legitimises them, & people will always choose the original over the copy. Defend human rights, stand by our principles & fight for a socialist vision — that’s how we will win!
