Years of hard work, perseverance for a project resulted into this article. My first ever project that I started as a postdoc back in 2017 recently found home in Nature Communications. Link to the article: nature.com/articles/s4146…

🚨 New preprint alert! 🚨 In this study we longitudinally tracked brain activity & myelin loss, revealing key insights into damage & recovery with a remyelination drug. Years of work, tons of data—check it out!

A new preprint from my lab, studying the effect of demyelination on neuronal activity in the mouse hippocampus, and the effect of remyelination therapy. Led by @anidas86 and Julie Borovicka and full of interesting findings. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

A new preprint from my lab: exposure to COVID-19 virus-like particles leads to changes in the activity patterns of mouse cortical neurons. The changes were more severe in mice that over-express the human tau protein biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

@naturemethods celebrates 20 years and wrote an article that covers some of their influential papers. They picked the jGCaMP7 paper I worked on with @janeliagenie and it was an honor to be interviewed and talk about this work with this great team. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Talk about spine-tingling! 😱🧠 The mouse spinal cord is aglow In this haunting video. Each green dot is a spinal motor neuron. These crucial but rare cells are damaged in disease like ALS. More on the @LifeCanvasTech blog: lifecanvastech.com/lifecanvas-por…

🚨 New pre-print!! We built a miniaturized device with an array of 4 micro-cameras that can each image multiple cortical areas in freely behaving mice. The mini-MCAM can image dozens of brain regions spread across >30 mm^2 of the cortical surface biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Apology to SRK’s fans, but I just realized many of his dance steps are the perfect examples of how galvo-resonance mirrors work! 🙏🏻🤭 #cshlimaging2024

About that new Nature paper with 45 supplements: It's all lovely research, I am sure, but who can peer review or just read and digest this? This feels like a film director announcing their new 15h long movie.

I was announced yesterday that I am promoted to associate professor and it’s a good time to thank all the people that supported me in this academic journey: my advisors Shy Shoham @ShohamLab, Karel Svoboda @svoboda314, and Doug Kim, the @CCLRI and my lab members. So happy.

@curious4aVAR Not a regular phenomenon in this part. A severe geomagnetic storm brought coronal mass ejections toward Earth and views of the aurora borealis into the U.S.
