@Kim_Conmy @TrogdonRich @mlycan12 That’s incorrect, my sons NLI stated a percentage scholarship for athletic and a percentage scholarship for academics, with a total percentage stated for 4 years

When the 5th year is implemented, I am wondering how this works from a scholarship perspective. Are programs obligated to maintain the scholarship for any rising Senior who wants to play a 5th year (bc otherwise that would be taking their scholarship away?). And, what about the commitment process? Normally we are discussing scholarship offers for 4 years. Must we now automatically be discussing scholarships over 5 years? And if so, that’s going to really screw budget management bc not everyone will take a 5th year but it will tie up money that could’ve been used to commit someone else, until we actually know if they are taking a 5th year (and that will likely be very late in the process). 🤯🤯. Maybe there’s a athletics compliance person in the X universe that can chime in on this #5YearEligibility #NCAA #CollegeSoccer #SendHelp

@ScottBright4Sen Hands off our TABOR refunds, Coloradans are overtaxed and we’re sick of it

For 30+ years, Coloradans have defended the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights. Why? Because it guarantees our right to vote on tax hikes and our right to a refund when the state overcollects. SB26-135 asks voters to permanently expand State Government Wishlist Spending by over $5 Billion per year. Don’t be fooled by the ballot language in November.

@SouthwestAir Do your gate agents at BWI go through any training for customer service, A List Preferred benefits and Same Day Standby? I shouldn’t have to explain Southwest’s own policy to them. Why are they so rude at BWI, especially right now at Gate B6?

@pjarnold @SouthwestAir @miamivol Nope, dont want to spill my Starbucks so I don’t run, been the last in line for Boarding group 1 all 4 flights, still no bag issues. It’s just not as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

@annafire78 @SouthwestAir @miamivol Then you must run up to the front of Group 1. There was around 40 in group one on my last flight. Bins were full. Glad your travel has been better.

Hey @SouthwestAir A List Preferred customer here. Boarded Group 1 (with about 40 other people). There was no Group 2. Now sitting in Row 5, but my bag is in Row 10. This is no longer a preferred seat. How is the better?!?

@pjarnold @SouthwestAir @miamivol On my 6th flight in the last 2 weeks, have been in the first few rows each time and have had no issue putting my bag right above my seat

@SouthwestAir @miamivol Sw wants to be something they are not. Now ticket prices are high, A-List doesn’t give you that much of an advantage. I sit in row 2 but better to check my bag now. Going back to get you luggage because they allow everyone to fill the front bins is terrible.

@chris_kratovil @SouthwestAir It’s the Companion Pass, without it flights to go see all my son’s college lacrosse games on the East Coast from Denver would be way too expensive. I took over 50 Southwest flights last year, most of those with the CP.

Honest question from someone who has been a @SouthwestAir A-List Preferred flyer and loyalist for more than a decade: what’s the case for flying SWA now? With the abolition of open seating and “Bag Fly Free” SWA is now just another legacy carrier—albeit one without true first class, lounges, or meaningful international routes. The “new” Southwest offers all the downside but none of the upside of Delta/United/American. What’s SWA’s best argument why I shouldn’t park my butt at AA’s Admirals Club at DFW while waiting for my assigned seat from here on out? Persuade me.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

Southwest is laying open seating to rest. It’s a seismic shift for a business that long touted its egalitarian ways, writes columnist Dawn Gilbertson. on.wsj.com/4rgETtp

@DerrickEvans4WV Between taxes and insurance, I pay $904 a month, $10,848 a year. This goes up every year due to tax and insurance increases.

One of the biggest factors in the rising cost of housing is the cost of property taxes. Property taxes have went up significantly across the country. There are people who paid off their mortgage & still paying over $1,000/month from property taxes. Something has to be done.

@ConnorWilsonLAS When my son started club in 2015, the fee was $500/season for 3 tourneys. His last season in 2023 was roughly $900 fee per tourney. Cost is way too high, especially for non east coast players. Add in rising travel costs and each family is paying $2k per tourney.

@Brian_Kelly19 Western players are at such a disadvantage without club lacrosse, we aren’t blessed with 10 D1 colleges surrounding our high schools or local leagues. Club leaders know this and charge us accordingly.

PSA: Players aren’t good because they play club lacrosse, they play club lacrosse because they are good. Selection bias, survivorship bias & social media marketing creates the illusion of significant player development. If you want the best outcomes for your kid, you’re going to have to dig a lot deeper than tournament-centric programming.
