At 38, I had 17 years of program management under my belt. PgMP, PMP, enterprise SaaS. Zero machine learning experience. At that time, as everyone does, I started doing some Coursera courses but everything was vague. There were two things that helped - @karpathy and @rasbt. Once the concepts were broken down - I could build, break, and eventually come up with 100s of ideas that failed. I decided to pivot into AI research. Not a side hobby. A real pivot. I spend to this day at least a few hours every week reading latest papers and trying to break the implementation of the paper. Even now, I am participating in the ICLR huggingface paper reproduction challenge. Two years later at 40: 6 papers on arXiv, an NVIDIA Inception membership, founded Murai Labs, and an open source Tamil language model that is coming out soon. This road trip exposed the biggest problem with owning an EV in India. We were travelling in my friend's EV. Our route had no hotels with EV charging and no petrol pumps offering charging either. We even requested a few dhabas, but no one agreed. Around midnight, the battery was almost dead. We somehow reached a village where a man offered to let us charge the car at his home. Before leaving at 4 AM, we offered him ₹1,000 as a thank you. Instead, he said it was not enough and asked for ₹2,000. We paid and left without arguing. People say EVs are cheaper to run, but on this trip the lack of charging infrastructure made the journey costlier and far more stressful than travelling in a petrol car. Is India's EV charging infrastructure really ready for long-distance travel, or are we pushing EV adoption too soon?

NEET was introduced with three principal promises: (1) reduce the burden, (2) eliminate commercialisation, and (3) improve standards. On every one of these counts, #NEET has failed.
