@antifascistfagg You’re right, my logic is a slippery slope. It’s the exact framework that experts have used to slowly grow the state into an intrusive leviathan. I just think we can reform it & shrink its power. You think that’s a pipe dream; that it will always grow like a weed unless uprooted.

Sometimes people don’t know what’s good for them though.
‘The market’ as we call it is just a collection of voluntary transactions, which usually maximise societal welfare (b/c people wouldn’t enter into them if they didn’t personally benefit).
However, sometimes they don’t.

@Nbtoma @ProjectAncap Afaik I really am the only one. I don't think it's an exclusively Norwegian trait to love nature, but it seems we hinder our economic development most of all because of it. If the state needs to protect nature from private owners, that means nobody really wants it that much.

@Nbtoma @ProjectAncap I in fact think most people do care about our nature and would pay to keep it the way it is (or with minimal changes). This is why the state is unnecessary. If people want to make that outcome happen, they will pay to do so. If not, that's their choice.

Just like today's "Climate Crisis" crowd, ozone hole experts conditioned the public to panic about this for years. Then it suddenly decreased in size without anyone knowing why. Today it’s the smallest it has ever been since its discovery.
