An inspiring lesson from our neighbour Thailand and the megacity of Bangkok:To cut pollution by 50% and improve daily life, the city implemented a strategy used in many global urban centres — the *“last mile” approach. The idea: from any metro station, citizens should be able to walk at least one kilometre on proper pavements. Over the past two years, Bangkok has rebuilt its walkways and added over 1,000 km of pedestrian paths. The result? People now walk from stations to their homes or shops, replacing short car trips — even in 40°C heat. The city also preserved a significant green cover to offer shade and reduce urban heat, making life more pleasant and sustainable. What about making it for gurgaon which has exactly the same aerial metro ? @leenadhankhar @MunCorpGurugram @OfficialGMDA @Suhelseth @GauriSarin @gurgaon_live
