You don't hate capitalism, you hate corporatism. You look at bailouts, subsidies, and firms that get rich through political access instead of honest competition, and you are right to feel disgusted. Capitalism lives or dies by voluntary exchange, by serving people well enough that they choose you over someone else. Corporatism works by fusing business with the state so failure gets cushioned, rivals get fenced out, and consumers get trapped. In one arrangement, profit follows value. In the other, profit follows influence.

@CarolinaJournal @AlgenonCash Stop the insanity. Greensboro (Guilford County) will be rolling in the dough following the 2026 NC revaluation with property values and revenues likely jumping 40% or more. Greensboro also gets to steal properties of owners who won't be able to afford hugh tax hike.

@GSO_Police I’ll pay for a year for ya’ll…… after I get my revised property tax bill this summer I’m not sure I’ll be able to afford it going forward, but my taxes are going up enough to cover X premium for all the Greensboro agencies. Think they’ll jet me direct the increase? 😂😩

We feel like government agencies should be able to post longer posts on X without having to pay for premium. We would like to post safety information and news releases on here, but it wants us to pay. Y'all help spread the word and see if we can get them to change it! 🤪

@MargoinWNC I’m from the same area. You nailed it. The tax value of property I own there just increased almost 200%. They’re working hard to lock us all down so we can’t afford to do anything in life but pay them. Greensboro/Guilford County is a “sanctuary” robbing all its citizens.

I grew up in a small suburb of Greensboro, North Carolina-Jamestown. It is a beautiful small town that has been inundated with outsiders because Guilford County, Phil Berger, and others know it's a place they can and did turn from a solid red area to a blue area. They raised taxes so my friend's families moved. They mismanaged the water system so they literally have to truck water in now. They approved selling family farms into suburban "multidiverse dwellings" to stack more people into a small town. They packed the schools with more people than the system could handle. They're trying to ruin small suburban towns. And it's working. Look what happened to Summerfield. Vote like your future depends on it-because it does.
