Reflecting on the profound impact of my dear friend and Salesforce board member Susan Wojcicki. Susan was a trailblazer in the industry, an exemplary mother, and a cherished friend. We shared so many fun family events and elegant programs celebrating her incredible success. She had a remarkable ability to lead with grace and vision, lighting up every interaction with her wisdom and warmth. Her kind heart, wise counsel, and philanthropic spirit touched countless lives. My thoughts are with her surviving mother Esther, sisters Janet and Anne, her husband Dennis Troper, and her beloved children. Susan's legacy of leadership and love will forever inspire us. @mattharding @marcfbe @applebyj In 2006, I was tasked with finding out why the performance of the SAP system was so poor at a client. After analyzing everything I could find logs for - I found the performance monitoring app on the app server was the culprit. Just remembered that story - for no reason at all 😆

SDN/SCN was such a vibrant community and I benefited immensely from it - and I have made some very minor contributions to it along the way. I am quite sad to see Marc's comment below, but not surprised. Traditional marketing metrics probably played the biggest role I guess

@applebyj Hard to imagine the board having picked PR without Hasso's blessing . Hasso hand picked Vishal and Shai - didn't work out long term. It's not an easy place to get an external exec to be accepted

@snowmaker Not only this but societally, SF is willing to accept such things much more easily than say… Oklahoma City. Possible to get ordinances approved and for citizens not to be in uproar.

(1/5) A few years ago, it was widely believed that the first deployment of self-driving would be long-haul trucks on highways, which is a much easier technical problem than city driving.
VCs invested billions based on this theory.

@datadictum I just wish it knew the stuff I’ve dealt with and closed those windows. So many things need a quick review and I forget to close them. 2-300 windows later…
