@Nigel_Farage @Nigel_Farage I think on this point we are going to disagree. Our junior doctors and nurses get paid nowhere near enough for the work they do, considering a MP is getting in the region of 90K. I have seen first hand the abuse they take and the pressure they are under at work.

The pay demands from Junior Doctors is wholly unreasonable. This long-running dispute is causing great harm to many people.

@drlouisenewson I love all of your posts however for me , it’s all talk , my GP flatly refuses to prescribe me testosterone for menopause reasons despite needing it . A lot more work is required and by then 1000s of more women including myself will have suffered too much x

We are interested in how the menopause, and specifically testosterone deficiency, has affected women’s ability to take part in physical activities. Women are forbidden by the world drug regulating body, WADA, from taking testosterone for any reason, even if they are suffering from testosterone deficiency and the subsequent symptoms are affecting their overall health and ability to participate in their sport. This is despite the problem being increasingly recognised, and effective treatment being available to women who don’t take part in elite sport. I was shocked to see there are many women on the board @NICEComms that supported this CBT. Please look at @drlouisenewson research. Your NICE documentation appears very out of date. After 10 years of being denied HRT on the nhs - transdermal HRT is completely life changing.

I have written an article for @thetimes in response to the new draft menopause guidelines from NICE. They are a step backwards for women. CBT may have a place when taking a holistic approach to managing the perimenopause, but it won’t improve every menopause symptom and won’t treat the underlying hormone deficiency. Women deserve to have a choice and if they want to take HRT they should be allowed to. It is about time women are heard and their symptoms and future health is taken seriously.
