DAY 8 Still Alive, though not kicking…. Some 7,000 people gathered at Jantar Mantar today from morning to evening. Leaders of various social and political movements spoke in support. A clear indication of how effective this movement is can be judged from the number of trolls in the comments below. Over the years I’ve seen that this number is directly proportional to the impact. I’ll be so sad & dejected the day they go missing. Thank you, my success-o-meter, for your hard work. #SonamWangchuk #CJP #JantarMantar #Education

@careinsuranceIN Hi Rhea, the screenshot is from your email response. The query is not resolved. If this is the support quality at renewal I shudder to think what would claim look like.

@careinsuranceIN So the resolution is increasing premium and removing multi year payment options? Did you understand the concern?

Every time I watch this video, I get goosebumps. But deep down I know if it was a man bravely calling out cops and politicians, he wouldn’t have been alive today!!

Imagine if she had done it in front of Mamata Banerjee in WB or even Uddhav-Raj Thackeray in Mumbai… Imagine, because she would never do it against them. She did it because it was a BJP event.

@caleb_friesen Fixing the footpath is an easy way to reduce traffic. I know so many people who’d prefer to walk to work. Thanks @caleb_friesen for taking up such a difficult journey. Watched the whole thing, and it was terrifying.

Everyone's talking about YC Startup School. But I'm still recovering from VibeCon. The event was great... ...but the footpath to reach wasn't. I encountered: - Busted pedestrian infra - Many deep pits - Lots of trash But also good people 🤍 Oh, and I did it on rollerblades.

@rajatpiplewar 100% .. you’ll see umpteen cybercrime cases where authorities will say you gave the OTP now nothing an be done. When from grocery delivery to govt taxes everything is OTPs it loses the ability to provide any security and shifts the blame.

The OTP is a lie. The shopkeeper is too scared to trust his own driver, so he forces you to be the guard. He lowers his risk by stealing your minutes. He saves money; you pay with stress. This is not service. It is unpaid labor.

1/ Normally I'm the person who thinks about how things can be better and what are the actual solutions...but for the next few days - I'm going to do a daily rant! I'm going to be ranting about the fact that platforms have stopped caring about their customers. PMs, ops teams and business leaders, are just optimising to save themselves from embarrassment, and have forgotten about the person who matters the most - and is clearly not present in the rooms, when some of these decisions are being made! That person is the customer (i.e. you and me). Over the last 10 years, a subtle but fundamental shift has occurred in how businesses interact with people. We have quietly and consistently removed the service contract - from the consumer experience! Today, we have shifted that burden onto the user. Everything experience is the buyer’s responsibility. You have to figure out how to somehow wrangle value out of things! And because companies are barely invested in predicting what users actually want, they have retreated to building broad, average experiences that protect them - rather than delighting the customer! Sometime back I had a chat with SPC member @apurvmehra on this one, at @spc_india, and we dug pretty deep. And once you watch that...I want to talk about one of my biggest pet peeves - which is the OTP burden placed on users!

10 years ago, there were 10 people around my kitchen table. No structure, no brand, no certainty. Just a handful of builders showing up for something that yet didn’t exist. Since then @southpkcommons has grown to over a 1000 members. Today, 25,000 people apply to SPC every year. We have offices in SF, NYC, and Bangalore. But SPC isn’t about the numbers, it’s about the people and what emerges when they choose to show up for each other. It looks like @anuraggoel, already successful and credible, showing up with generosity, helping others, sharing work, iterating in public. Patterns sharpened and @render was born. It looks like @thejamescad and @dbabbs, who met at SPC to become cofounders building @tryprofound. One of the superpowers of SPC is the collision rate—not the shallow kind, but the kind that only happens when people keep showing up long enough to build trust. It looks like @MaximilianMona, who moved out to California in an RV to be at SPC and eventually build Ironsite. That’s someone saying, with their whole life: this matters. And it looks like @AshtonJEaton, an Olympic gold medalist, walking into SPC not for a career pivot, but for a deeper reinvention. To trade mastery for learning. Not for optics. For truth. SPC has been designed by the community and for the community, with one goal that hasn’t changed: pay it forward. We’ve helped normalize taking time to find truly meaningful work, whatever shape that might take. So on this ten-year anniversary, I want to thank the people who made SPC what it is. The ones who showed up when they didn’t have a narrative. The ones who lived in the question — and lingered in uncertainty for long enough to find out. The ones who came back, again and again, for the work and for each other. Happy ten years, SPC. Thank you for showing up!

Faced with AI slop and a constant, overwhelming stream of content — what are the new form factors on which humans will spend their attention? Riffed on my question for @southpkcommons' recent Request for Curiosity, with @apurvmehra. Deep conversations at @spc_india!
