Tomorrow, my son will be called up to the Torah as a bar mitzvah, a marking in a young man’s life (or young woman’s - a bat mitzvah) when they become responsible for observing Jewish commandments, mitzvot.
As his father, his father’s father and so many generations before us have done, he will recite the blessing for the first time as an adult.
Outside, there will be police presence, as there has been every day for the last number of months, my son often asking why they are there.
Inside, there will be prayers and celebrations and rejoicing.
Outside, there will be hate and vitriol and calls for our destruction and death.
Inside, there will be love and community and calls for peace in Canada and Israel and the world.
Outside, there will be a world, influenced by terror and darkness.
Inside, there will be a world, influenced by G-d and light.
Outside, the world is very different than it was at the time of my bar mitzvah and my father’s (perhaps not my grandfather’s).
Inside, it is how it has been for 3500 years.
This is how we survive.
This is how we win.
No matter what is going on in our world, we continue to be Jews. We continue to teach Judaism to our children and our children’s children and try to invoke a sense of Jewish identity in them, so they teach their children and their children’s children.
I am incredibly proud of my son, as he marks this milestone in his life.
And I am even more proud of my people, the Jewish people, who have fought and persisted for so many centuries, so that my son can proudly become a bar mitzvah tomorrow.
Shabbat Shalom everyone.
May we all know only simchas (happy joyous occasions) in our lives.

OK this is even more wild.
They literally show a photo of Palestinian Arabs burning a Jewish convoy trying to supply food to Jerusalem (when they attempt to starve the 100K Jews living there).
TF is wrong with these people

State of Palestine@Palestine_UN
78 years of ongoing Nakba. 78 years of erasure. Against all odds, we remain on our land and the land of our ancestors. Return is our right. Freedom is our destiny. On May 15, join the Palestinian people in commemorating the Nakba. #NAKBA78 🎥 PAL Global Echo

You are a walking billboard for mass denaturalizarion. May the day come soon.
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor
Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.

🚨 DOJ DROPS THE HAMMER: DEATH PENALTY SOUGHT FOR ELIAS RODRIGUEZ 🚨
Yaron Lischinsky was 30.
Sarah Milgrim was 26.
A young couple just days from getting engaged.
Elias Rodriguez murdered them outside the Capital Jewish Museum as they were leaving an event for young Jewish professionals.
He fired nearly 20 rounds while screaming “Free Palestine.”
Then he walked into the museum, displayed a keffiyeh, and said "I did it for Palestine.”
Today, the DOJ put it in writing:
"a sentence of death is justified"
Agreed.

This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. I’m all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden they’d feel compelled to do this?

🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!!!
Divers doing a ROUTINE maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir dam in Mobile, AL...
...just found an underwater IED!!!!
Apparently a grenade-type bomb was sitting submerged at the bottom of a dam that holds an entire city's DRINKING WATER.
It took FIVE agencies: the FBI, ALEA, the Sheriff, Mobile PD, and a maritime render-safe team, to pull it out and detonate it.
Someone put a BOMB in our water supply...
WHERE IS THE NATIONAL COVERAGE?!!!

Across America, Jews Prepare to Mark a Once-in-250-Years Shabbat
When President Trump signed a proclamation inviting Jewish Americans to observe a national Shabbat on May 15-16, Rabbi Chesky Tenenbaum of Baltimore had one immediate reaction. "It coincides with Armed Services Day," said the military chaplain. "It's a double reason for our community to come together."
From Florida to the Arizona desert, Jewish communities are marking the first time in American history that a sitting president has called for the nation to honor Shabbat — one that also happens to fall on the very Shabbat the Rebbe designated, forty years ago, as a global Shabbat of Unity.
