What is old is new again - BlogRoll reborn for the AI era! Finally a turn back to what made twitter amazing to begin with - the following tab reborn! Love it!
@levelsio@levelsio

So @nikitabier implemented @photomatt's idea to stop AI bots from destroying the reply section on here You can set it to only allow people you follow and the people in turn they follow to reply, nobody else If on average ppl follow 500 people that means still 500*500=250,000 possible repliers But all the spammers are isolated out 👏

@mweinbach On device depends on who. OS models like Apple Intelligence you are spot on. But if you are app developer using custom models you want existing ones to work better without interfering with other apps. Really wish Apple would let devs load outside models with a unified API

On TurboQuant, I see 2 possible outcomes 1. we reallocate memory towards larger models and larger context, so freed up memory goes to improving models 2. we keep everything as is and just shrink costs to generate tokens I'd wager we see the shift towards 1, not 2

If everything thing here is accurate, and it likely is because I’m near certain Gurman lives in the walls of Apple Park… Apple is likely to have the most compelling AI platform of any lab or platform vendor. Parts of the UX described seem great as well as features. I’m excited.

@ryancarson Same here. If it works please post what you did. Can’t wait to junk Sonos software for S1. Lousy they don’t care.

So I got sick and tired of the shitty Sonos app not being able to control my Sonos speakers in my house so we gave up using our Sonos speakers for a long time. Then I thought this morning, "Wait a second, I bet R2, my OpenClaw, can control the speakers and fix that." Sure enough, he can, so I recorded this little video for you all. @steipete @openclaw 👏

I spent 8 years scaling Discord and got burnt out cause modern work is broken. We’re overwhelmed with too much info across apps, teams, and agents. AI made it worse. We’re building the solve. I've joined @tryhighlight as CEO and we raised a $40M Series A led by @KhoslaVentures.

No more context bloat from unused MCP servers in your context. Claude, Cowork and Claude Code now load MCP tools on demand. Before and after:

@StevenFulop Mayor, you might made an effort on a number of fronts but there were downsides to this being felt now. Classroom sizes at 35, path overloaded, city in lot of debt. So please put things in perspective. Leadership is hard I get it.

When I was mayor - I prioritized housing growth at all costs + Jersey City built at more than 3x the per-capita rate of the region - and it still took nearly a decade before rents stabilized but they eventually did

I’m sure the abundance crowd would agree - NYC rents keep rising and ppl act surprised as if it’s a mystery. It’s not. Reality is that even if everything went right tomorrow with construction, it’s a 10-year fix before it corrects - and ppl need to be honest about how to fix it for it to be meaningful: 1.Fast-track approvals 2.Upzone around transit (yes, despite NIMBY pushback) 3.Rework incentives that bake in ~30% higher costs by mandating union labor no matter what (Unions should have a last look but they have to be somewhat competitive with the market) 4. Freezing the rent WON’T work without property tax reform to address the cost side of housing - needs to happen simultaneously Until ppl are honest about supply + cost structure , nothing changes and the summer rental season will be worse

Copilot Tasks is seriously good?! Even one of the best alternative to Claude Cowork Using a single prompt it was able to: → Use a cloud browser to find the right tool → Interact with the page to enter data → Interpret all the info given by the page → Generate a PowerPoint based on it → Draft an email containing the learnings Because it has access in real time to multiple Microsoft Office apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. but also Outlook. Everything was seamless. First try. And you can even ask it to schedule this task (or another one) to run it every Friday, once a month, you name it. As with OpenClaw, the use cases are basically infinite.

LOADS of incident/troubleshooting investigation skills. They're starting to converge, using progressive disclosure in a solid core skill that can figure out what to do for specific issues. We have a goal to make all runbooks follow-able by Claude in the next 6 weeks.
