@Simon_Ingari Yet in every job ive worked at if payday falls on the bank holiday your paid on the Friday... should pay day be 'good friday' for instance you would be paid on the thursday.

On Monday Manager: You didn’t send the report I asked for on the 1st. Employee: Can I ask you a question? Manager: Yes. Employee: What does my contract say about working on public holidays? Manager: It’s not a working day for employees. But sometimes, a little flexibility is needed from your side. Employee: Then why is it fair to expect employees to be flexible with their time off, but the company can’t be flexible with salary payment when employees need it most? Manager: I’m also an employee. I’m hired to execute decisions made by the executives. Employee: You’re not a robot. You’re human. Don’t follow unfair rules blindly. Manager: If I don’t, my kids won’t eat or go to school. Employee: Your children should not survive at the expense of other employees’ families. They may have children too. Manager: So what should I do? Employee: Put humanity back into management.

Employee: Can I get my salary on the 30th? Manager: What does your contract say? Employee: Payment is made on the 1st of every month. Manager: Then sorry, you can’t be paid on 30th. Employee: But the 1st is a public holiday. I need the money before the long weekend. A little flexibility won’t hurt the company. Manager: Sorry, rules are rules. Employee: Understood. On Monday...↓

@HSBC_UK How about actually having branches open longer on a Saturday, shutting at 1pm and not having a counter service. ESPECIALLY when the mobile banking app was down! So I couldn't access my money.

Nothing worse than @AsdaServiceTeam and their rubbish. We must take your money before we even pick your shopping. And then not even let me process an amendment! Can't even transfer the money to another account to try and pay with that card because the bank has it on a hold!
