"Affiliates don't really work for our brand." We hear this from almost every brand that has tried mass outreach, got sporadic results, and moved on. The problem was never the channel. Most brands on TikTok Shop are chasing spikes. One creator pops → the video goes viral → GMV jumps for a week → then it drops → they scramble to find the next one → they send more samples → most creators never post → the ones who do get one video out and go quiet → the brand is back to zero. This is what affiliate marketing looks like when you are showing up rather than building a system. We witnessed a brand that generated 23,000 pieces of unique creator content in 90 days because they built momentum. The first wave of affiliate content worked → other creators saw that as a signal → they piled in. One creator who had never made a TikTok video made 3, drove £130,000 in GMV, and bought a Mercedes with the commission. TikTok Shop does not reward brands that show up. It rewards brands that build systems. I worked with @Cruva to put together the full blueprint for building that system. 20% of your affiliates will drive 80% of your revenue. The other 80% will post once, go quiet, or never post at all. Most brands have no system for telling the difference. So they keep sending samples to everyone equally and wonder why the programme never compounds. The gap between $105 GMV and a $179,936 GMV is not luck. It is data you need before you send a single sample. Three things the best programmes get right: 1️⃣ Know who you are targeting before you recruit a single creator. 2️⃣ Start with 10 to 20 creators, not 200. Learn what converts first, then add volume. 3️⃣ Build a commission structure that gives your best creators a reason to keep going. SEEQ Supply built it this way. Honest admission: we still ship from a China warehouse for our brand. Delivery takes 7-9 days. Do our customers complain about shipping? Not a lot. Here's why: we don't hide the delivery time. We don't oversell it. What kills brands isn't long shipping, it's customers who have no idea where their order is. We built a full shipment update flow in Wonderment. The top-performing brands on Meta today are allocating 30–50% of spend to partnership ads because they consistently deliver lower CPAs and higher CTRs.
