375ai joins peaq: $GRASS of real-world data? Good things come in threes this week as peaq release a new roadmap, and welcome not one, but TWO projects to its ecosystem. Today's spotlight: a project operating at a massive scale, processing data from millions of vehicles daily. Take a peaq The peaq ecosystem is growing fast, with the number of DePINs rising to 52, with more to be announced. In the past week we have seen @375ai_ and Threefold join, both attracted by peaq's plug-and-play functions built for DePINs and its connections with big enterprises, DePIN projects across 21 sectors and a community of DePIN enthusiasts. On The Edge 375ai is creating a decentralized network of sensors and hardware that gather and process real-world data right where it's happening, known as 'edge data'. Their 375edge device is an enterprise-grade sensor and edge AI node, costing around $30,000. These are deployed in high-traffic areas like highways and on buildings. The 375edge collects data, such as vehicle make, model, type, count, and identifying information for commercial vehicles, using high-resolution cameras and environmental sensors. This data is processed locally using NVIDIA GPUs, ensuring privacy compliance. Purchasers can deploy 375edge at their own locations, use pre-secured locations via 375ai partnerships, or opt for a managed service by 375ai. A significant factor in 375ai's deployment strategy is their exclusive 10-year partnership with Outfront Media, one of the largest billboard companies in North America, providing access to a network of 40,000 large highway billboards, and reaching 7 out of 10 Americans. The first batch of 375edge devices is being deployed exclusively on these billboards. By the end of this year, they anticipate having data on over 10 million vehicles per day. Other DePINs will also be able to utilize these spots and deploy their own devices and sensors. This real-world data is highly valuable for various sectors. Hedge funds and high-frequency traders are interested in using this data as an inference for market performance or financial results. For example, they can look for increases or decreases in vehicle counts for companies like Amazon or FedEx, or traffic at retailers like Target, to inform trading strategies or imply business outcomes. Brands, advertisers, and transport/logistics companies also use this data. Data buyers typically purchase data using fiat currency, which is then used to buy and burn the $375 token, creating demand and bringing value back to the network. CEO Harry Dewhirst has confirmed that 375ai has revenue ready to buy and burn from day one of their mainnet launch, driven by existing commercial relationships with web2 companies. This contrasts with many DePIN projects that lack immediate paying customers. On the Streets In the future, they plan to launch other devices like 375street intended to be deployable by anyone, outside apartments or places like coffee shops, where they can capture insights on vehicle and footfall traffic, perhaps how many people are passing with coffee cups. These devices will be available for presale soon with a likely cost of around $1,000. Complementing this expansion, 375ai is also collaborating with AYDO, another peaq ecosystem project. This partnership allows 375ai to integrate data streams from devices like cameras already deployed within the AYDO network. In an initial pilot, 40 cameras are functioning as 375x nodes, enhancing 375ai's data coverage and providing valuable insights for applications like security and smart city initiatives. Beyond dedicated hardware and less common devices, anyone can contribute to the 375ai network and earn rewards through the 375go mobile app on Android or iOS. Users collect and contribute passive data like network signal strength simply by having the app running in the background. This data helps enrich the network's understanding of real-world connectivity and users are incentivised with $375 tokens for their participation. As someone who has used the app for months I can tell you it has serious hex appeal and racking up hexes now will qualify you for an airdrop of $375 tokens at TGE. Finally, to manage and securely store 375ai's growing repository of valuable information in a decentralized way, it will introduce 375vault. This device will allow participants to earn rewards simply by plugging it in, maintaining device uptime, and contributing storage capacity to the network. This ensures the network's data remains secure and efficiently distributed. The potential here is immense. As highlighted on the Proof of Coverage podcast, where Connor Lovely drew comparisons to the powerful GRASS network for collecting and organizing web data, 375ai is positioned to become a leading force in real-world data intelligence. Watch this Space During last week's YOM Townhall livestream, peaq co-founder Leo Dorlöchter mentioned upcoming hardware crowdfunding on peaq, while 375ai's community manager has said that he wants to see fractional ownership of 375edge nodes this year.
