Some updates for 𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚋𝚘 𝚠𝚊𝚝𝚌𝚑: → No longer uses a daemon (much more stable) → Up to 26x faster due to engine improvements → Task Graph instead of Package Graph under Future Flag That last one is particularly exciting. See video, and imagine how this will scale the speed of your repo.

@Dominus_Kelvin Really great write up. I am taking the time to build my own paas, dokploy and coolify (great software btw) but they are still missing a lot imo

Check out npmx.dev It's a new way to browse the NPM registry. Fast, powerful, and beautiful to the core. Built by a bunch of awesome people, too. Highly recommend.

Building OpenAI for Africa is more realistic than building a new social media platform though. Even if you have the resources to build a social media platform, you'll run into the cold start problem (network effect). That issue is practically nonexistent when running an LLM inference API. The major setback here is resources and execution.

you could not build facebook for Africans for decades but you want to build openai and claude own by Africans

Docker Compose was supposed to be for local development. Your production environment has been running on it for two years. Nobody planned this. Nobody is stopping it.

My experiments with TanStack Native Router so far are so cool - declarative stack lifecycle virtualization (active / paused / detached) w/ configurable reuse semantics - navigate/ can do standard push/replace, but also a new reuse option! - reuse matching can be nearest, oldest, or anything in between - can default to route-level identity for reuse via a `native.getID` function Fun ideas cookin'!
Tanner Linsley@tannerlinsley

Status Update: RN Screens is working, swipe-to-go-back ✅, dynamic stack virtualization (via <Activity> and straight up culling) is also working. This is pretty slick.
