🌊Still cleaning up from the Nashville Ice Storm and had a lot of time today to think about the future of media and technology. While AI is not going to be putting this chain back on the chainsaw anytime soon or picking up the hackberry debris in my yard, it is coming like a tsunami of disruption to digital media and tech. 1/ Everyone in the org buys into the disruption and the plan. No heads in the sand. If you don't understand how AI is reshaping your job in media -- both content and tech, you're already behind. We don't have the luxury of waiting to see what happens. We are moving now. 2/ Adapt or die. Media executives expect website traffic to drop 43% over the next three years as AI replaces search as the entry point for information. Only 38% of news executives feel confident about journalism's future, down from 60% four years ago. Digital content writer jobs are projected to decline 50% by 2030. Reporter and writer positions are expected to shrink 30%. This is not a drill. 3/ Individual and brand trust is everything. AI can generate content. It cannot generate a trust-based relationship (now). When a recruit's family, player, or coach trusts your reporter, when a fan base trusts your brand, when a subscriber trusts your insight -- that is a moat AI struggles to cross. Every byline, every broken story, every relationship built on the ground compounds over time. Trust is the asset. 4/ Community may be more important than trust. That is why @On3 spends more to support and grow fan sites than anyone else. A reader can trust a publication and never come back. A community member is invested. They post, they argue, they recruit other fans, they stay. Message boards, fan interaction, and direct engagement — these are what AI cannot replicate and what keep sports fans locked in. Community is retention. Retention is the business. 5/ Distribution is the new battlefield. 59% of Americans believe AI will lead to fewer journalism jobs. Only 5% think it creates more. The publishers who own their audience directly through direct traffic sources will survive. The ones dependent on search and social will not. Own the audience or lose it. 6/ Content creators and talent that engage and connect with audiences, that entertain, inform, and are memorable. Reporters who report firsthand and engage with sources and their communities. That is the media of the future. 7/ AI is also a massive opportunity. Leaner, smarter, more profitable back offices that lead to better products and better service to your users and communities. We are seeing massive wins right now in FP&A and tech. The media companies that lead in AI across back office, data, and technology are at a huge advantage. Those who refuse the shift will get wiped out. AI is not just a threat to defend against. It is a weapon to win with. We are attempting to build a model that survives this shift. There are no more cheat codes and no room for lazy people who don't buy in. I am incredibly excited about the future because most companies and most cultures are not prepared for the hardship, and they don't have the grit to fight through it. Do you? August 2026 will mark the 5 year anniversay of the @On3 | @Rivals journey. These next 5 years are going to be fun!

Appreciate the love, but the job isn’t commissioner, it’s convener. The person who gets the P4 to agree on a tiered CBA framework wins. That person has to already be in the room. Heck, there’s 200 people in that room.

College football needs strong leadership, and @ShannonTerry is the right person for the job. As @TheChadWithrow points out, Terry’s experience across every level and aspect of the sport makes him the ideal candidate to guide CFB through this transitional period. @UTHealthSA I had surgery at your research hospital 12/10. After complications I needed surgery again 2/26 in Mississippi. They found surgical gloves leftover in my leg. Can a patient advocate please contact me? I have left multiple messages. cc @TexasHHSC
