Just got back from a long overdue trip to SF The highlights: - Sick dinner hosted by @vercel with leaders from @openclaw Foundation, @LindyAI2025, @ManusAI, and other top-tier personal AI companies - Worked for the day out of the @ycombinator office and hung out with @maxkolysh - Visited by old stomping grounds from YC days in the Marina district - Geeked out over all the greenery (big plant nerd here) - Stopped at an extra floor in the hotel elevator only for a robot to join me - Churned off 5 SaaS products on the flight home - Was greeted back in Boston with my favorite JFK quote Until next time SF 👋

This is what we mean by Personal Intelligence. Not a feature. A relationship. The platform is what we sell. The fully open source assistant is what we share. github.com/vellum-ai/vell…

3/ Relationships We believe the relationship between a human and their AI exists on a spectrum, from Contractor to Friend. What determines where you land: what you choose to share and how much you invest in the relationship. The full range we mapped: Contractor, Employee, Coworker, Thought Partner, Creative Partner, Coach, Confidant, Friend. Most products define the relationship for you. We think that's backwards. The relationship is yours to define, and it compounds over time.

We just published the Vellum Constitution: a guide to what Personal Intelligence means to us. We formalized this document as a foundation for everything we build. it's housed publicly in our OSS repo to keep us accountable. What it means and why we published this🧵

We just shipped our Constitution into our open source Vellum Assistant repo: github.com/vellum-ai/vell… I'm excited to have it guide the personal intelligence we build and for everyone else to hold us accountable to it as we grow

Ok, @TechCrunch please explain why your team went with this cover photo to showcase the work of one of the most important AI labs being built right now. Also the title is very poorly written. @thinkymachines doesn't "want to build", they built it and they showed the impressive benchmarks and demos. smh

Week 3 of building in public as a solo founder. Here's what I shipped, what failed, and what I learned — no fluff. 🧵👇

grew vellum's geo citation rate ~46% in 2 weeks using my assistant Viper my strat is dead simple > Viper <> @gauge_sh to get geo data > Viper assess what the highest prio long tail keywords are with my given context > Perfected skills for writing listicles, comparison articles, etc. > Ship content twice per day i plan every weeks content and ship daily from there ik "ai assistants" is an emerging category so replicating this kind of growth isn't realistic for most BUT shipping consistent + GEO quality content regularly with an assistant will 5-10x whatever your current baseline is w/o one GEO is still in its infancy compared to SEO, the faster you win your niche now, the faster you'll win AI search for the long haul dm for any advice on GEO :)

Throughout this process we were able to preserve our SEO stats, and especially for our LLM leaderboard tool where we get 80% of the traffic from But we had some hiccups so I must stress that you need to monitor a lot, and follow everything for the first week or so It was so easy to manage it all via Sanity (not a paid promo, we just love the product) and our content lead Nick @grim_tonal has 10x-ed his GEO article shipping velocity:

The harder problem: consent. With humans, you approve each transaction. With agents, you pre-approve a task, and the agent runs 10 purchases to finish it. Different trust model. We don't have the UX for it yet.

I asked @ash_vellum to plan our team offsite. Lake Michigan, 20 people, $40k budget. He found the flights, hotels, and dinner spots. Then handed me a list of checkout links. Payment is a big bottleneck for autonomous Agents. We're working with @stripe on a 1st class solution🧵
